cant buy them in bulk, need to equip mage and kill enemies in overrworld to restore mana or use thief plunder magic if you dont want to re enter the dungeon.

In this game mana is a resource more expensive than money.... So the answer is.... the best MP potion that you can get its at the "dew" shop early in Grand trad but thats recovery 30 mp each time and are limited or try to farm later on some "Mana" pills from butterfly kind enemies, they drop like 1 every few.

Actually, you wont be able to. Basically, mana managment is the main dungeon managment in this game. Npc like Gallica litteraly tells you that.
You have several ways to achieve that : follower feat, equipment, skills and more.

Rank up Wizard class for the passive skill (Shield Blessing) equip the skill will conserve mp a bit.

There's a single merchant that sells unlimited Mana pots. They're past the Point of No Return. You can bring 99 into NG+, but that's about it. Otherwise, 3 per city from water merchants, 1 daily in Altabury, and grinding enemy drops.
