Of you want an adult jrpg, dragon quest 3hd, granblue fantasy relink, or monster hunter stories 2, all played recently and good.
Interested to see how the genre has developed.
I'll give this a go; appreciate the responses.
This has Visual Novel elements like modern Persona games aimed at permavirgins.
Just replay Chrono Trigger if you want the good stuff.
While this game does have some sense of adventure to it, I don't see why people are praising this game too much for reinventing JRPGs. It has a dash of SMT sprinkled into a Persona-lite life simulator game loop. If you've played Etrian Odyssey there's a few fun references in there, but if you HAVEN'T played Etrian Odyssey I'd absolutely push you in that direction instead. Ultimately this game is for fans of Atlus JRPGs, or for players who haven't played more than a handful of games. I believe that's the target audience.
I'm going to try this out later tonight.
Will also take a look at the other titles recommended.
I'm interested in trying the genre's modern masterpiece experiences.
