fairies?

ive seen some fairies around and they talk to you then bounce (like my dad did years ago), do they do anything or grant any items or quest?

I have the same question, I think I found and talk to them in every city but nothing happened. It seems that the game is missing a Gallica quest, the way fairies in the Elda village talk to her felt like something was foreshadowed related to how Gallica grow more human by travelling in the world and some internal conflict might occur leading to leading to a resolution...
