Is anyone else constantly underleveled?
I feel like I am constantly under leveled compared to whatever enemy/boss i'm fighting, and while i'm not having too much trouble with them, it just feels like i'm somehow playing the game wrong.

|I just completed the dragon temple and got a new party member, only to find that she is 5 levels higher than every other party member I currently have. (She is level 41 and I am level 36)

I have taken on every side quest that involves bounties or taking out certain groups of enemies, I stay in dungeons to grind for money/mag, and yet I always feel like the enemies/new party members levels are way higher than mine. I'm playing on hard mode if that means anything, like earning reduced exp. Any advice on how to grind more efficiently? Or insight if this level gap is just normal?

I'm playing on normal, and have done everything you have, other than staying to specifically grind, and have not had this problem.

I think this is hard mode modifiers in play.

I'm playing on Hard too, but no I'm actually overleveled after I left that dungeon you first mentioned. And that party member was like 8 levels below me. I did farm a bit in that dungeon though, for MP and Money so I could complete it in one day

There's a spot in that dungeon near the first save room. In the room with the crystal spawning enemies, you can stay in the corner with Mage / Wizard and just keep pressing attack in the overworld. Pretty good spot for farming a bit, there is also another later in the dungeon where two crystals are in a room together and you can stand in front of both and do the same thing. But you would need be a bit higher level for that spot I think.

nah I think it's more that the devs purposefully OVERleveled Eupha because you are FORCED to take her into that battle AND she wasn't a solid partymember before then... so to avoid player agrivation of being forced to do a bossbattle with a class that has 0 inheritance and you might not even like playing... and maybe losing because of that... they made eupha overleveled so at least her "newness" would not be the reason why you would lose that battle

I'm playing on Hard and have been pretty consistently overleveled. Basically whatever dungeons you do figure out an efficient grinding pattern and spend about 20-30 minutes on it as Merchant. A little boring but you'll leave much higher level, with like $300,000+ and a ton of items to power level your archetypes. It's completely worth it and the game is pretty obviously built/balanced around farming.

Playing on hard and was overleveled by 3 lvl compared to Eupha. By the way, never grinded for anything

When you get to Virga Islands, the optimal order is the side quest to unlock Junah's follower rank, then the main story. This is where making the incorrect decision can be the difference of around 6 hours, but the game has the magla crystal for you to abuse for xp in the worst case scenario provided you can one shot them, or you're good enough to use finisher noodles should some mobs trigger a battle if you get hit.

I did hard. Just beat game. A few spots good to grind. I didn't try to lvl as much as max put my robot jobs.

The desert outside main city is great for very early. Then a dungeon with tons minatars. They give insane m att, later 2 towers.

I did also grind the dungeon with goblins but. By time I got end game I was 99. All robots unlocked, all jobs, and all inherent unlocked every toon.

Game to easy.

You don't need to fight, everything dies in 1 to 3 hits open world. And bosses 1 to 5 rounds.

It's always a good idea to stop and grind a little when you find a reasonable spot that you can exploit without spending much resources. Like, a good modus operandi is to reach the end of a dungeon, kill the boss, go back to the entrace and run around sniping the weaker targets for a level or two while having a merchant on your team.

i hate grinding in this game, i tried it afew times but the way you reset stuff in dungeons is really annoying. I just got to a late game boss and im 12 levels lower than the boss , playing on normal. I beat it but its starting to get stupid. I've also done all the content so far in the game, i just dont want to sit in a dungeon for an hour grinding everytime , its just not fun, and honestly an hour probably isn't even enough if you want to over level, probably talking multiple hours often.
no thanks lol. I will keep going until im forced to grind. Honestly the main issue i have with this game. I know jrpgs require some grind, but the grind in this game is not fun at all.

Why are you so weak. No boss stood before me. At 2nd to last chapter I was 92. Last chapter 99, everything maxed and unlocked.

Dragons were lower lvl then me fin bosses 13s below me. Everything died to easy likeca mobile game.

The game seems to definitely be balanced in a way that encourages a bit of grind just like any SMT/Persona games. Especially in higher difficulty settings. The Dragon Temple also has the best grind spot in the midgame, with infinite MP pill drops and good XP. Also finishing the Dragon Temple at lvl 36 seems really low to me, most enemies in that dungeon are around 40 if I remember correctly. Maybe try to fight more my guess is that you probably avoid a lot of fights, just kill everything in sight always.

i beat that place at 37 on my main, others in party were lowest 35. i never skip a mob, but i dont re grind anything, so i think its totally normal to be that level..
