or... you know... maybe not try to troll as you're definitely not at it :)
They forgot a word. That's a typo. You are the one misspelling the words "you", "you're" and "definitely".
Also nobody gives a crap about your opinion on pronouns or gender identity. This is a videogame. Stop trying to hijack it for your political culture war and learn to have fun.
its not scary I ensure you, and also suggest you retake elementary school English classes for a refresher on how language works.
But, regardless, I'd hardly call a singular unnoticeable reference to someone as "they" woke in the first place. Definitely no character has been called "they" in more than 1 scene as far as I've gotten, because none of the main characters are referred to as they and most of the other ones have only been in 1 scene.
Woke ideology in video games is bad because its generally bland, hamfisted in, and patronizing to the audience. None of those 3 things describe metaphor. Even if there happens to be some non-binary side character, and I can't find them if there is, they are clearly not preaching to the players as if we're children who need to be told in a simple and direct manner that lgbtq+ is good, so I don't care.
My friend Drew (Male) went to the store.
I might without even thinking about it say "oh yeah they went to the store"
people do this ALL the time, but then stop to argue about how using "they" is woke and whatever.
there is an entire subreddit dedicated to accidental ally behavior where they do ♥♥♥♥ like this.
And honestly I wouldn't care if it was. What matters is good writing. Games that shove woke ideology (or any ideology for that matter) down your throat as if you're an idiot just happen to, by some strange coincidence perhaps, have bad writing. Metaphor does not have bad writing imo.
