Romance is a positive element especially when you try to form your whole band/faction to defeat the bad guys.

shame it's not in the game but considering how lackluster Romance was in other games, I would rather get better written characters(social links/bonds) at the cost of subpar Romance.

No, I agree...If someone says video games shouldn't have romance that's stupid. If I can make my character build a house in Skyrim why can't I watch characters fall in love in a game
My point was just that you're not gonna find it in this one. So you'll have to play a different game for that.

Edit: Also, even with DENUVO there may eventually get mods. If you're really, really set on romance for this game specifically for whatever reason you can wait for that.

Not every story has to have romance to be engaging, interesting or simply, fun. Sometimes, romance isn't set in a game because it wouldn't fit the journey that the MC or the player is set to by the writer of the team. Hell, there could be a possibility that there could be a canon romance within the game,
