It was worth it for Persona 5 to buy the game twice.

It may also be worth it for P6, who knows. All of the other Atlus games are definitely not to that scale.

Atlus policy is very sad, bcs the games are very good. I will prob skip and wait 2/3 years for the full version. But damn it hurts.

- My gaming budget is not $200 for 6 years.
- I have fun seeing what's new when I replay the game I liked.

If you always want to wait for 5-6 years to hope for a re-release then you should better just don't play any games then. it is a trend now to re-release games in the last couple years.

I'm not really bothered by the cost.
More importantly I don't want to dodge spoilers (or even worse, just have story beats and major spoilers ruined for me in the wild via some random forum post..) in the 2~3 year interim if I were to wait.

I actually didn't mind playing Persona 5 and then Royal a few years later anyway; being able to see the changes and new additions in real-time was pretty sweet.

it's not that long anymore. atlus has been releasing/rereleasing games in a faster rate now. just take for example SMT 5, this game came out in 2021 and it's already rerelasing in this month. I believe this will be the new standard time for now on

Have they ever done it on PC? Persona 3 Reload tells me that they will release a expansion dlc instead of re-releasing the entire game again.

also, it's totally different from persona 3 reload. reload it's already an enhaced edition from a previous game. they stated it would follow the classic P3 with the answer and it'll be a final product after this

But we are at PC. Stuff like this can fly easily on consoles, but not on PC. They will probably release a upgrade pack dlc or something like that.

Just look at Koei Tecmo when they released Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate on Steam.

Thanks for reminding me. I went and looked into OP and........

He rebought GTA Demasters while already having originals. Why couldn't he wait for "enhanced" versions? R* did many re-releases too with Smuggler's Run Warzones, MC3 Remix, Bully Scholarship, GTA 5 New-Gen. You should've known, OP, you could've waited.

OP also bought standalone RD Online while having RDR2 already LMAO. And yet he lectures us on saving money and wants us to wait long years for potential re-release which might not even be great (aka P5 Royal).
