Mouse control problem

The mouse is not responding while playing the game......

This game is "ancientware"...okay. Now, this means you may need to change your settings for running the game via 'right'-click on the executable(in the actual file location on your hard drive....run in an ancient mode: say, Win XP. Also, the game doesn't recognize mouse interface except for controlling your mech in-combat.

Initially when I played the game, it worked fine when using WinXP (Service Pack 2) on Windows 8 - but now after a hiatus & getting back to the game, nothing helps... The mouse just circles around to the down/right direction the instant I touch my mouse. Temporarily changing control settings to gamepad stops it, but then again I don't own such thing. HALP please!

...Oh well, guess nobody knows, not even Google. Tried every single compatibility combo with no dice & even two other mouses.

change the control mapping, it's incorrect by default. this is true for all control schemes, including c (controller only)

What do you mean exactly? I've switched back & forth A, B & C schemes + changed all keyboard buttons as well. Inverting mouse only makes the bot circle upwards instead of down

*EDIT* Okay, I seem to have fixed the issue temporarily by closing Fraps & unplugging my e-cig charger, bloody weird... xD
