ERROR Direct3D

I tried playing this in my desktop which has a NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti (updated with lastest drivers and DirectX 11) and got this error:

(it's usually gibberish but I used AppLocale to get the japanese text)

THEN I tried playing this on my notebook, which has weak processing power and "intel graphics card"... and it worked. What gives? Any fix for newer hardware?

if you set the config to windowed it should run but it is crap

Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately it didn't run in windowed mode, had the same error. It didn't work with any other configuration from the "config" file from the game folder. I also tried running it in compatibility mode and I tried re-installing the DXSETUP that comes with it. I guess I'll have to play it in the old notebook that for unknown reasons, runs it smoothly... If anyone can read japanese, translating what the message says might be useful.

"Failed to initialize Direct3D"

Try reinstalling DX9 (game uses 8 iir) redistributable, if that doesn't help, run in Win 9x compat mode and see if it helps.

I tried using Win XP compatibility, and now I tried Win 98... it did not work. I have DX9 installed, but the launcher doesn't have a selection for this (like in saint's row 3, per example, you can choose which version of DirectX you wanna use).
So yeah, thanks for the help, but I guess I won't be playing this on my desktop...

You might be able to get around by setting your resolution to 480p and using a program like fullscreenizer to enable borderless window fullscreen assuming you can run the game in windowed mode
