Who owns the rights of this game?
Tried to find the developer on google but couldn't find any, anyone has any insight? I saw a video once on MMORPG dot com channel and one developer was named Daniel Chang, but no clue of his whereabouts.

There has been some activity on SteamDB for this game, like adding achievements, even steam points rewards in the last 2 years, it comes and goes, hope this game gets revived..

Me too. I think its still somewhere active in its origin country. Indonesia. Till 2017 they supported it under the name "Heroes Of Atarsia". At least this turned up on a short google search.

Now that's interesting, it looks like it was published by "Megaxus" in there. the developer name is JCR Soft Co., Ltd which was based in Korea but there's not a lot of info about the dev team, the only person I could find was the ex product manager which appeared in several interviews back then who now seems to be working at Actoz Soft, which was the publisher of the game in Korea.

This is my report thus far. :sleepybs:

So is this game finally back? i remember playing way back in the mid 2000's. The reason i ask is because before the severs shut down in 2013 an email was sent out with a code for us to use once it returned. So was there a Migration between this new company and Outspark?

The reason people are talking about it is because there has been a few movements on SteamDB for the past 2 years, new icons and achievements were added but we are clueless if this is being re-released and who owns the rights of this game.

There's also the fact that the game popped up in some's Steam libraries with played time registered while, in reality, they never even heard of the game. (The game wasn't even installed at all.)

I am doing some research I will try to update this thread if I have any info, I believe Actoz Soft might hold the rights of this game....

*Info via SteamDB*

Since the app has registered activity starting in 2022 (mentioned in the comments above), steam charts report an average of 1 active player per month, I wonder if this is a fluke or there's someone tinkering with the steam page, I wouldn't necessarily translate this as a re-release, but it's interesting nonetheless, and a thrill.
I'm thinking the activity might be from a single developer / small team alpha testing the IP that they bought / own? I could be wrong as well :/ But it's not uncommon for studio to buy IPs and test the environment, perhaps for their own games or to revive a relic.

Okay, I tried my best but I can only reach the Server XD There's no server so naturally I can't connect to the game despite having the config etc.

Yeah, right now there's a 'trend' of publishers buying dead or games in life support and releasing them in their platforms either as a re-release, publishing takeover or an NFT gig.

Example of studios doing this: VFun, WeMix (NFT), ChainPlay (NFT), MasangSoft, Vertigo Games, Ubifun, etc.

There's a slim possibility that publishers of this type might consider acquiring the rights if they come across it. Again, this is just speculation, specially since we don't know who owns the rights for this game...
I have had the game dev on my FL ever since this game launched on steam ( i was playing all versions before )

but hes never online ever since :(

i want it back so bad !!!

Yeah. I know for a fact I never played this game before, but it appears in my library un-installed. When I look at the video clips, though, I might know WHY.

This gameplay reminds me very much of Dungeon Fighter Online, which was a game I played a LOT of both on and (previously) off Steam. It may be getting sneaked into the libraries of people who have played DFO before as some kind of subtle advertising ploy?

I have to admit I'm interested.
