Of Vital Importance to prevent this in the future;
I'm sure you've all heard of the movement going around to stop killing games.
I cannot stress how important this is for the future of gaming:
https://www.stopkillinggames.com/

Just take the devs of this game.
They have been radio silent ( as far as I know ) since the game shut down, and as I recall, was looking into options on how to let us play. Not a word, NOT A WORD! This is unacceptable and gaming is only going to get worse. That is why, this is so damn important.

Look up where you should sign the petition, EU for EU and so forth.

Thank you for reading this post, chummers. :dante:

gaming became a business industry, it's not made for fun anymore. Boycott games, especially AAA.

When was it not a business?
Other than some of the old school Devs who learned to code as a hobby... Oh yeah but they all went on to found businesses, Lord British Sid Meier, Will Wright all Gods of early gaming but you need to make a living.

i believe it's more interesting to know when it became a "business industry" more :

i think games changed after 2010 maybe... too much AAA... very not interesting... all same, nothing new... countless free2pay... zerglings trolls buying latests AAA... deserting VGood games...

i believe there's too much politic now : all games are oriented...

Tell me a Shadowrun-like MMO plz.... (STR-RPG cyberpunk).. maybe i forgot one to play..

PS: voting now, THX for Link OP.

You're welcome.

Regardless of people's opinion on AAA-and industry and what-not, it doesn't justify them making games just to have them die in cyberspace.

For more information on it, the person who started this movement is Ross of Ross' Game Dungeon ( and Freeman's Mind ) so watch his videos for more insight of it. I'm personally upset that not more of my fellow Europeans have filled it in yet.

more votes, more heards.
It's different than politics : it's a little effort to vote and save VGOOD games. while politics all cheat.

i only play classics nowadays, or Football or US Football too.

->

I wait Deus Ex MMO....... based on 2.... even Neocron game is based on 1...

@OP, The Devs of this game.
1. Initially made several communications with the player base evidence of which is in many threads here on STEAM.
2. After a period of time did go silent... Because they went bankrupt and therefore were no longer a collective Enitity of a Dev shop.
3. The fact that some members of the team did communicate through STEAM and others methods with fans after their employer went under shows they were actually pretty good guys. Or do you / would you continue to do world on behalf of an employer that no longer pays you or exists?

Each of the Devs I named came to "fame" in the 1st 3rd of the 80s. Garriot (Lord British) began his career in the 70s as did Meier.
I used the 3 names I did, as they are generally considered amongst the first "famous game programmers". There are a small handfull of other programmers important to game history but none of them would have a degree of fame where the average gamer would know their name. I would wager that the average gamer could probably not name any developer or programmer whose fame primarily came from being a game programmer in the 70s.

I would also wager that as soon as home computers became common, games instantly became a business. If you disagree that's fine. However if you only play games from before that period ie. pre-80s games, then you've really limited your choices.

None of this meant as confrontation, it's just an interesting sidebar, but is not really pertaining to the OP's question.

I think we're entitled to have a game working that we paid money for.

Tools so we're able to get it functional on our own.

That is all.

I was so excited to see a recent post. I am now disappointed because it isn't about how to play this still.
