Since it sounds like it cannot be reversed engineered and we all paid for a game we can't play + plus its been shut down for years now no one cares in corporate HQ.

Please Accidentally Leak Server Code, so that we can do the needful.

Someone has the source code and or an entire image dump that could, you know do the right think and just leak it somewhere online. Let the community download it and handle the rest.

It isn't going to take away market share, no one cares about a really old game anymore expect a few niche people in the community.

Let us have the product we paid for.

Exactly. This is the kind of stuff that Ross and thousands of us have been saying for years now, games shouldn't be forced to go extinct just because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corporate/legal crap. It's not like this IP is a gold mine anyway, most games aren't, so why force them to die? It's just cruel and careless.

If someone did provide the server code, would it be possible to overcome the technical challenges that MADE has run into?
Does anyone have a handle on what exactly needs to be done in order to get the game running again?

If the source code released/ SDK Kit / Server was out it would practically be an open instruction manual. It wouldn't take long to get it in up and running and even our own stand alone mod-able communities servers too I bet.

MADE? Who's MADE? I am going to guess this MADE has attempted to reverse engineer it all without the above mentioned available tools and assets. While this is possible, while the game is live, its still highly difficult to do even with a good sized army / budget. Now with it being totally down, its again not completely impossible, but monstrous to tackle and not worth pursuing for this reward.

In short yes if it leaked or if they released it - it wouldn't take long for the very talented people of the net to get this up. No one in there right mind would try to reverse engineer this now, not worth it sadly.

While I agree most games should stop requiring online servers, this one only got to exist due to it if I remember correctly. They couldn't get offline rights to the license, but online they could.

To answer your question, MADE is a digital museum for dead games like this one. They were donated all the code by Primetide himself (the lead dev of this game).

Then a little something called the 2020 pandemic happened and the project has since gone on hiatus.

I never got to play this game either and would really like to revive it. Lately there are more and more mmorpg revivals and would be happy to assist with bringing this game back. I've emailed themade.org about it but all i've received is an automated reply.
