Low Costume Resolutioon
Why is the game doing this? I moved my laptop that i play this on somewhere else and the textures fixed themselves, but when i came back they dropped res again. How do I fix this?

I think it may have to do with Windows 8.1. I use 8.1 and I have the same issue with low res costumes. Tried multiple methods but nothing is working

Yeah it might be windows 8.1 but why did the res get better when i went to visit my girlfriend at a campground?

That's weird, my reasoning is that either the internet connection had something to do with it (which is highly unlikely), or some service or application that may cause the problem delayed it start enough when you played there that actually fixes the problem, if so... I'll try to boot with the minimum services and see what happens
I'm on the same boat by the way, low textures and graphics all around.

PLZ help me, spidey looks terrible in his low res suit, and the game looks terrible. I have a GTX 870 and 32GB RAM, and yes I am running windows 8.1. I will try running it in compatibility mode, i will see how that works. If it does, i will keep u guys updated

I think I found a solution. I went into the bios and increased the video memory for the intel to 512mb and now it's running with all graphics on. I don't know why exactly, it's using my GTX 850 (I can record with shadowplay and all). So try that. If you have an asus you press esc on booting the computer and select enter setup and then on advanded, video card configuration, mine was 64mb, I increased to 512 and save and exit. I rebooted twice now to be sure and it works.

man if this works, i will find you and i will kiss u, (no ♥♥♥♥):falkwreath:

im on my sager custom built pc, and i think it boots up too fast for me to press esc, let me try anyway.

Great, its not possible on laptops, so spidey is still gonna look like the game developers had a brain fart.
Taigoman Oct 10, 2014 @ 3:36pm
Ok, as soon as you press power press f2 and or f12. Maybe the way for you to see the bios is different.
Wai Oct 10, 2014 @ 10:34pm
yeah, i can open the bios, but most laptops do not allow you to change graphics memory. And when i opened my bios, the option was not there. And that is the only way to change graphics memory, i checked all over the internet. So yeah, im screwed

After researching a lot of forums - this seems to be common issue. I finally fixed the issue on my end with this -

Run - regedit - go to

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Activision\The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (TM)\Settings\Display

QualitySettings - 50061308 (hexadecimal)

Initial value I had was 88212a41. I changed it to that one. I found it here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/267550/discussions/0/558754898968727569/

From the thread:

I use code 50061308 provided by Xengre. That code is high texture but medium draw distance which makes game playable.

Code 10161308 however is high textrure and high draw distance, both are hexadecimal values (pay attention to that)

Hopefully this would help everyone looking for the solution to the low resolution texture on costumes.
