I want to be able to make a shorter character
In the first game you could essentially make a child or midget. Both were funny and neat.

I played the game 5 times, aging my character up each time going from a Child Rogue --> an Old Wizard. It was a lot of fun and I looked forward to doing it again, but here the lowest height is too tall to truly do it.

Yeah, for me, I wish they showed the height like in DD:DA on the screen alongside the visible current weight since neck length, etc, could make you a tad shorter. I like to self-insert and sadly it's really difficult to, I was struggling to really get a suitable face as well but I'll try more later... The character creator is better in some areas but feels limited (awesome can be old but I'm not old and every time I try make myself, I never look right and the Asian section is difficult for me). You can really mess around much like in DD;DA, doesn't feel like you can be proper skinny either.

The bottom height limit being 160cm when loads of people are below that is bruh (me included, if not just by a little but I can deal with 160cm, it's just sadge since small characters are fun but no midgets this time, huh)... I like the idea of also having a smaller person with a huge sword or lifting people and throwing them, that stuff was brilliant and felt like you had a lot of freedom with the body size and creativity. I was worried about the 160cm thing, sad that it is the limit. I know it could possibly be a technical limit too but eh...? I was also disappointment with not being able to be much smaller chested or flat as those people exist too and it was possible in DD:DA, chest size is still too much for my liking. I was hoping for a lot more pawn personalities and voices too - Unfortunate there's no arrogant personality or vain, ahaha! I want my pawn to be the dingus he was in DD:DA.

Big ramble but AHHH!! I have so many mixed feelings.

160 is the average height of a Kid around the age of 13-14

Do you want to start your adventure Crawling on all 4's at the dragon or something?

Is this really going to be the hill the haters die on for this game? Every game has some dumb thing they latch onto for their whine fuel…this is one of the dumber ones.

Wish my mom fed me what these kids are eating cus I stopped growing at 11 with a whopping 1,5m tall.
I wish there was a way to edit leg lenght, short characters end up with weirdly long legs or torsos too long, in my opinion. There's probably a reason as to why you can't change it tho.

In medieval times people were much shorter because of diet. Also its a fantasy game so you would expect people might want to make dwarves or halflings. In fact I think i've seen some dwarven characters in one of the previews.

People want to make dwarves in a fantasy game. Not everything is about your obsession with teenage girls.

I guess we aren't allowed to have a party of hobbits this time around.

That sounds like it'd be funny, so yes. I'd love to play Rugrats in my medieval fantasy game lol

There likely isn't a technical reason why leg length can't be adjusted since adjusting the height slider will make legs longer or shorter. It definitely seems like there was at one point a way to adjust leg length since it doesn't make much since how much you can adjust the torso length only to make the legs adversely and disproportionately longer or shorter.

The only thing I can figure is that there are buttons or levers that when overall height is too short the character can't physically reach them but that wouldn't be a technical issue just a graphical one and I think players would have been fine with it. In the first game my character was too short to grab apples from the tree so I was only able to collect the ones on the ground, it's one of the many subtleties that gave the first game such endearing charm.

Parents in medieval times: "You will become a Dwarf if you don't eat your veggies"
Child: "No... not a Drwarf..."

Is the height differentiation that much different from dd1? I mean the numbers say one thing but do they end up scale up the same way between the games anyways?
