Star Swarm Stress Test

Star Swarm Stress Test

Ryzen 5800X3D + Radeon 7900XTX
This benchmark did not even come close to stressing the 7900XTX, it literally used 1/3 of its power for 1080p 'extreme' setting. VERY MUCH a CPU benchmark for me, which is good because I was testing some power tuning on the 5800X3D. Note that this benchmark does NOT seem to scale to the full core count of modern CPUs, so it's actually a very "game like" benchmark as far as running comparatively few threads as hard as possible unlike something like encoding or computation which can go wide.

"Follow": Average FPS 131.73. Highly variable, went down as low as 40FPS at some moments in the test and over 300FPS in others.

"RTS": This one way more brutal and interesting to watch. 33FPS, much more consistent frame rate throughout.

Interesting.

My spec: 3090 + 4770K (I know)

"Follow": Average FPS 81.99. It can hit over 300FPS at some moments.

"RTS": 31.97 FPS, almost consistent frame rate throughout.

1080p 'extreme' setting

I believed that my system is already bottlenecked, but your result is not far from mine. I thought 5800X3D should surpass my decades-old processor?!? I can play Starfield and cyberpunk 2077 so well on my system. What the hell? I was thinking about upgrading to 5800X3D, but thanks to your result, I am not sure about this. :steamfacepalm::lunar2020horrifiedrat:
