Dragons Breath is the best gun by far. The low ammo capacity is MORE than made up for by its insane damage output… making it the gun with the highest DPS in the game.
Underwater gun, for well... everything under water. UV light saber by far best weapon against final boss.
Its not going to matter much unless for particular bosses or if you somehow pick up the UV lightsaber very early. You are going to be one shot-ing most enemies anyway,
Well yes, the very end biome with spongy enemies are going to take a bit more. but depending on your gear load out and level you can be increasing your attack output by plus 70% or something. At level 60 thereabouts i was killing androids and reapers in 3 shots.... then the only enemies needing more than that were the trees and the chimera, monkey snake tail thing. At that point in game with that kind of damage output its kind of irrelevant. The only enemy that it is absolutely essential to have the lightsaber for is the final final boss.
Neutral air freezes you still and, if you need to gain altitude, down air pogo is very reliable with that weapon. Combine that to their almost nonexistent recovery frames and you can move to safety/dodge/pop a lux spell/launch sword whenever needed. And that's on top of their already really good DPS and super fast MP buildup.
Just find any aerial safe spot in a boss' patterns and mash it to death.
I plowed through lategame with that combined with the nade launcher for fights with multiple enemies (its splash is absolutely massive) when fireball/screen nuke spells would be overkill.
