1. Look through the encyclopedia to find the highest-XP, lowest-HP enemy.
2. Find a room where such enemy appears.
3. Equip your best XP-boosting accessories (and best weapons).
4. Grind and grind by killing that enemy, leaving the room, entering the room, and repeating until level 98.
Alternatively, finding a room with several enemies that you can quickly kill (e.g. with Lux’ Orb power) may be another option.
55?! Yeesh, I got there at 44, no wonder I'm losing 2/3 of my HP per hit.
1. Enter the hallway from the left side (not the side with the save point/vending machine)
2. Use lumina burst and make sure both enemies die
3. Exit the hallway immediately on the left, use a whip on the mushrooms to replenish MP
4. repeat
The whole cycle takes about 3 seconds and is netting over 260xp at lvl 65 each time with Vertex type IV and PRO type III equipped.
There is another advantage here (though this could be a bug, and hence might be patched out in a later version). It appears that enemy drops do not check the maximum items cap.
Yuki-onnas drop Ice Cream, and Yukinkos drop Turbo Regenerators. Hence, if your goal is to grind for the post-game superboss, you can get a little peace of mind with a few extra healing items. (Granted, surviving long enough after a bad hit to use the healing item is tricky, but it is still nice to have.)
