Had a BLAST- can I ask for related games?
I don't know what came over me but I blazed through Blade Chimera in 2 days, feeling like I was playing Metroid Fusion again. I LOVED the flow.

I was wondering, even though everyone's lens is different, what games are adjacent to something about Blade Chimera. This was more directed at people who appreciated something about this game. Thanks for reading! I can elaborate more if you ever like.

Toho Luna Nights & Record of Lodoss Wars: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth… both by the same devs.

Though not credited as by them Pharaoh Rebirth+ was also made by the same devs. Its devs went on to found Team Ladybug. It’s more a straight forward linear game… but has a similar feel.

Also look up another game by them, Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue. It was a free downloable metroidvania game in Japan. Fans translated and patched it into English. You can find it fairly easy with a basic google search.

Don't forget Konosuba: Revival of Beldia, by the same team as well. Another linear game but there's a similar gamefeel regardless.

I didn't but didn't recommend it, because (as with their SHMUP game Drainius) it really doesn't play like there rest of their Vanialikes... Its a straight Mega Man Clone. XD

*Gravity Circuit slowly pulls the leash again on my Megaman Zero/X brain, calling me to come back to the grind*
I'm definitely going to check out everything from the devs, eventually! I started from Luna Knights and then started following their new work. I love that they worked on a Konosuba fangame. Great taste

Play everything by Team Ladybug… record of Lodoss war and Luna nights are awesome and pretty similar. The shin megami game is awesome and free, but I personally didn’t like pharaoh rebirth…

From other devs, I’d recommend Momodora RUTM and Moonlit farewell. Similar action heavy MetroidVania games with a hefty dose of Japanese swag.

Ender Magnolias, the other big Metroidvania released this month, is also great. A lot more punishing though.

I got Drainus on a Switch sale and it is SO MY THING hahaha. Absolutely epic shmup variety and progression, with the most comedically bad reviews from different Youtubers like people calling it a "non-replayable game" or a "20 minute shmup for your evening." xD
