Security Guards aren't doing anything?

So, I hired the two security guards that are available right now, but they haven't done anything. I had them for a good two weeks in game, and I have checked to make sure that I'm not hallucinating, but they don't move from their spot next to the door. I have left shoplifters alone to see if they do anything, but I have never seen them move.

Is anyone else having any problems like this?

I bought a security guard, security gate at the door and security camera but have never encountered a shoplifter. I'm thinking about firing the security guard if it ends up doing nothing

Have you both completed the shoplifter tutorial? Shoplifters will not spawn unless this is completed and your security features will have nothing to do as a result.

The shoplifter tutorial is currently the last one, so you won't see it until the others are completed first. You can't wait to paint your walls, for example, if you want to take on shoplifters.

Ohhhh good to know. I was ignoring painting the walls xD I'll start doing the tutorials once I can play again (crashing issue). Thank you :)

Yes I completed the shoplifter tutorial, and I have had a bunch of shoplifters. I have the security cameras and the security antennas, but they still wouldn't do anything. They never once moved from their spot beside the door.
