Box condensing or pickup chain method change

I know this has already been suggested but I figured I'd post some possible solutions too, and add on that this is a necessary change.

One of the must frustrating problems I've had is I've been spending a lot of time condensing partially filled boxes because of shelf space and inventory management which I feel could be fixed pretty easily. It's gotten even worse with the latest update now that every box I set down during this process gets picked up and put back on the shelf by the stockers when I don't want them to mess with it.

Often there are several boxes of the same product that are only partially filled. I could, for example, have the whole shelf space taken up by a collection of boxes with only one item in each box. This takes up space for stock and can be a pain determining how much more stock I need to order.

This could be fixed in a two ways.
Change the pickup chain. What I'm referring to is how the box you pick up from the shelf is always going to be the last box put on the shelf. Instead make it the box with the least quantity in it so you're always closer to emptying a box instead of picking up a full box.
Or automatic consolidation. If you put a box on the shelf it will automatically condense into the most full box either making the next box in the pickup chain the most empty box or emptying the box in your hand.

I hope this could get implemented pretty quickly since this is the biggest tedious roadblock I've been having mid-game.

Put your boxes with one of two items on a spare rack, if you use the big racks you should have space for a few. Have a dedicated space for your items, so you would be stocking full boxes only and then use your spare rack to ensure you have space for the new box. This way you just have to fill the empty spaces in your dedicated space
