It's a lot of fun. Lots of new content and features coming soon which will make it even better.

Whilst it's fun, currently it is a little repetitive;
1. New day
2. Change prices on items that have changed in market value
3. Restock (or wait for your staff to restock so you know what you need)
4. Order new stock
5. Run back and forth stocking the storeroom shelves with the new stock
6. Start day/open the shop
7. Stand in the corner of the shop watching your checkout staff doing their job
7.1 Every now and again just run around your store doing parkour jumping off your freezers and onto checkout counters
7.2 Wait for the day to pass by whilst you play on your phone or something in real life, waiting.
7.3 Maybe go through the computer looking at licenses, store expansions, etc
8. At 6pm, turn on the store light using the light switch (as it's about to get dark)
9. Wait for 9pm and for the store to clear
10. Pay your bills and rent at the computer

Repeat

It is fun though like I said. Plus you set yourself goals like, "I wanna get this new licence" or "I wanna save up enough to expand my store" etc. Also you will occasionally re-arrange your whole store.

Once the new features and content come, I believe there will be much more you can do rather than just wait for the day to pass. Recommended.

Depends on what sort of game you like, however this is very early access and if you haven't got much money to spend of games I would advise against it for the time being.

love it but everyone is different

There is not much simulation to speak off and the npcs are just bad. But for anyone wanting to 'play little shop' it might scratch that itch, Just expect much jank and missing features because its Early Access.

Without Twitch streamers playing this, it would never have had the current popularity. They were all playing this at some point.

It moves like everything else, hold down the left mouse button.

I play pretty much the same, I do turn on the lights when I open though, never been a store without lights on even during the day irl.
I keep hopping for more stock management options. heck the ability to buy in more than 10 item lots would be nice.

It's EA. Nuff said. Not much to do but upgrade and do the same thing over and over.

You seem to like counter strike and shooters a lot. Do you actually like simulation games and slowing things down a bit? If yes I think it’s worth it. It’s a decent loop of buy products, stock shelves, take money, expand. Repeat.

I am dubious with your taste though if you’ll enjoy it.

Gee, I wonder why they played it? Could it be because people watched it and enjoyed it? Maybe because, I don't know, it's a game a lot of people like? Yes, streamers helped boost its popularity, but if it wasn't a solid, fun game, people wouldn't watch the streamers, buy it themselves, or give it a good review.

Some of you will go out of your way to try and sh*t on this game...

No, twitch streamers all follow each other and start playing what others are playing. This happens all the time. Their personality will create a lot of hype for those games. Just because they are entertaining streamers. I think this game lends itself well to stream and entertain chat.

So I am just saying that whatever big twitch streamers play, creates sales. Even for games that are not really good (yet).

But objectively speaking, Supermarket Simulator is a very simple game in current state when it comes to mechanics and an open world that is very simple, almost like an asset flip.

Just imagine these mechanics in a 2d setup. No one would buy this because there is barely a game to speak of. But 3d for some reason makes it more attractive to some people, even though in this case (in its current state) it is not more difficult to make when using Unity.

This is what hype does with some people.

Again, not saying you cant enjoy it. I mean the most simple games can be enjoyable. It is just not much of a simulator. I love sim games and business tycoon games. But this one is just way too early in Early Access. Who knows, maybe it will become good. But the challenging parts still have to come and too many devs can't properly code npc's.

Left click and hold just like you would on a shelf to pick it up to move.

I thought of doing this to save myself the hassle of having to turn it on later, but wasn't sure if it affects the bills amount. One time I didn't turn the lights on at all and I still had bills the next day, but that would have been for the fridges/freezers. I didn't think at the time to take note to compare bill amount.

Definitely! I buy all my stock and then go out to the mass pileup of around 50 goods lmao. So the 10 limit doesn't slow me down that much, just gotta take note that if I want multiples of an item, that if I hit the 10 max limit I remember to add the extras on the next batch.

Lots more management options/features are coming though so i'm excited for that.
