Not making enough money
This is a slog I don't understand why money making doesn't scale. At least I think it doesn't. I always seem to be doing around 2k per day and it's not enough to fully restock( lvl 28). Is there a trick to it I don't understand?! As far as I can tell number of customers and cash doesn't really scale but stuff is increasingly more expensive. Make it make sense please.

Also, basically everything is way too expensive ( expansion and licenses )

the money does scale, the number of customers is base on the store expansion. I get around 1.5k profit per day and i'm level 36. I can purchase all licenses, but it's the level requirement that takes longer. You maybe doing something wrong. Make sure to set the price of all items to the market price and update them when they change

You're saying profit but if you mean 1.5k gross income that's not profit. Profit is what remains after you restocked everything. Cause if you mean 1.5k gross income then it def doesn't scale because I've been making that a long time.

well the expansions go from 11k, to 22k. to 50k etc...would prefer to just see a price per square foot on the rent instead of the big upfront charge to unlock a 4x4 space perhaps

It does not scale well at all. There is a soft cap on customers when you reach around level 45 or 50. So the customer max is maybe 60-65. So once you're around level 50, profit stays around 2-2.5K per day. Expand your store, increase fridges, hire more employees, profit goes down.

when you hit level 40, costumers dont increase anymore aswell as incom, after that you be grinding for hours and hours to be able to make a small expansion that really doesnt do anything except from a little more place.

i am almost level 80 and have the same amount costumers and incom as when i was 40, only everything is getting insanly expensive.

also up to 40 its not the store expansion but store level that decide how many costumers you get, confirmed by dev and by testing.

so this is very unbalanced.

true... it seems there is no way to make daily income higher than 5000--- and from lvl 40 it gets boring/frustrating for that reason

There is a trick however thats part of the whole game. You have to figure out the checks and balances. I will give you a clue though. Clue: No more then 50 cents. I will let you figure that out for yourself.

I am at shoplevel 52 now and its reaaaally slow to make money (yes, I also have between $1.5k and $2.5k profit per day).
I have around $55k and when I get the new licenses on shoplevel 56, they will cost $37.500. Even with the items I have to buy, there is no problem. The problem is the shop expansions.
I need additional ~$75k for this.

But what drives me really crazy is, that 8 of 10 price changes are price downs, but for big money. For example: from $12.50 down to $10.14, but the few ups I get, are just low Cents. I see my prices going more and more down and down, since 2 ingame months now.

Its really tedious to make cash and reach the next license-level (for new, motivating stuff).

I dont think this is very clever. Okay, you sell some items with this higher prices, but all the rejected items, you never sold (up to 3 items per sort per customer!).
Best thing is: Market price + 5%

edit your save game and give yourself some money and some level :) You don't want to play a simulator, you want a sandbox game with everything unlocked :D

Sorry, but cheating is not an option for me. Never.

When i 1st started playing, LvL 1 to about 40 i would raise the prices 50 cents above market value. Now i'm in the 60's i charge 40 cents above market value. Every now nd then you'll come cross something that you can raise the prices on. For example the 6 pack of mil is usually $10 or $11. There was a 4 day stretch where i had the price up to $16 , $4 or $5 above Market value and the customers wouldnt complain. But then you look at soda , 17 cents over market value and they want a lower price. hit and miss

Im at level 72 and its taking me forever to save enough money for expansion and new products, i make roughly 2.5- 3k per day, but i spend around 1.5-2k restocking all the products, so basically im not making enough to expand or get more products
Prices on new products and expansions need to come down, the next expansion is 22000 and i can make it past 7k without needing to do a massive restock of expensive stuff like the moussaka etc. bring me right back to the beginning
Bazinga Mar 21, 2024 @ 5:08am
i'm level 61 and having the same issues as everyone else. i only make 5-6k gross and 2k ish profit each day and it hasn't changed since about level 35. the scaling sucks. and the more i expand the store the more my bills will increase but my profit wont.
john.h.cox Mar 21, 2024 @ 5:13am
I have the same problem in not making enough profit to be able to afford the stupidly expensive expansions (next one for me $24,600) I'm level 52 have lots of different products (84 in total) all well stocked but still hardly make much over $1,000 profit a day.
What I find hard to believe is that according to the global achievement figures 1.7% of players have opened every expansion, how many hours did that take? If any player who has achieved this target happens to read this thread please tell us how long it took you to complete that remarkable feat, thank you.
