Can't place boxes down

When I pick up boxes from my racks which the restocker has touched I am not able to place it down anymore...I can only put it back on the rack which is kinda annoying if I'm in the store and need to suddenly run to the register. Anyone else got this issue and knows a fix?

Impatient's games whining that the update wasn’t released faster, now realise why it was delayed.
Of course, it’s going to be bugs in an early-access game.
Just sit back and relax while the dev is fixing the game.

I am just asking if someone knows a fix. I didn't whine about the dev but more about the issue.If I don't post about it the dev won't know so I'm making this post. I never made a community post before and especially not one asking for the update to release quicker. Think things through before replying nonsense that noone asked for :)

This happens to me frequently, at one point nothing on a storage rack was able to be placed down, so I took the rack boxed it up and left it in the storage room. When I did my next shipment of food, all the stuff that was in that rack showed up on the curb with my order LOL I was like oh ok! And then I was able to place everything again.

But like the other person posted, it's early in the game dev so I'm sure this will all get worked out eventually.

im having this same issue and cant press esc either have to force close and loose all of my progress

When you pick it from the racks and can't place them down, open them first. Then you can place the down. Quick work-around for you.

if this happens, pause the game by ESC key and unpause it.

This has happened to me a few times when changing over item locations and using the box. If the box is empty just throw it away and the game should fix itself. Esc etc wouldn't work for me. So instead of losing my progress. I found this works for me.

You've never had this happen to you I'm guessing? You cannot esc to pause the game with a box in your hand.

This is an ongoing issue that has been in the game since the prologue and demo. It's a glitch that gets fixed each update, but doesn't actually get fixed. So it's one of those mystery glitches that's hard to track down I guess.

This hasn't worked for me.

What worked for me is saving and going back to the main menu, then go back to the game again. It kinda resets everything.
