Can't end day
I'm playing on PC, and removed all mods and it won't let me end the day. I restarted the game, uninstalled and reinstalled, and rebooted computer. Nothing is working for me. Currently on day 253.

Stay away from mods.
Mods also ruined my Cyberpunk2077 save and I couldn't finish some missions.
This game is still in EA

If you've ever used mods, your save is compromised. You'll need to start over.

I don't understand the mod fear lmao. mods can't stop a game working if you have fully uninstalled and reinstalled everything/cleared *ALL* mod files.

There is a discord server for modding this game that often solves people's problems if the person with the issues can supply things such as logs. Also you should always (if you care about your saves/progress) back them up when using mods, that's just a standard rule for any modding.

Mods are certainly interesting for old games.
But not for new games and especially when the game isn't finished yet. But each to his own...

These daily posts prove otherwise. Every single time someone complains about an obscure issue like this after an update, they admit to using mods. If your save was played using mods that it depends on, no matter how minor, will compromise it. It's an early access game that is constantly changing and is liable to break with outside influences.

Also, OP admits to being on Day 253 which could only happen if they tried using their previous save from when they were having this issue. A reinstall of the game isn't going to fix anything.

Well, fully uninstalling isn't always as easy as deleting the files you copied in the first place. I don't know in the case of this game, but sometimes mods set flags, edit game files or keys in the registry, things that you don't see.

@OP Did you have the night shift mod installed? Because that one caused the problem for me. How exactly did you remove the mods?

mods for this game have hundreds to thousands of downloads, I'd say a lot of people consider them interesting. Mods for any game will always come with risks regardless of it being early access or not. the rule for using mods is to back up saves first.

Also regarding the posts on here about mods breaking peoples saves and such, how many of them have gone and dug through the logs, how many have trouble shooted every solution, how many use the modding discord. Mods break whenever any game updates, back up saves, turn off auto updates and don't expect mods to be working literal days after a big update lmao.

Sure they are interesting. I use mods myself. And yes, backups are a good idea :)

Just saying it isn't so easy to uninstall them, a save file might still be affected by previously installed mods. It's not like everyone knows that. But it's a good learning experience. Not the worst playing field to find out 3rd party apps can break things.

Personally I just think people should look into the sort of rules/ guides for using mods. It seems to mainly be a case of people being afraid of mods usually because they don't entirely understand it all and then when things go wrong they try and fix things which can often do far more damage to the point no one can help.

End of the day no one should be afraid or mods or tell people to avoid them, just make backups, play it safe, and research it a bit deeper
