Mods also ruined my Cyberpunk2077 save and I couldn't finish some missions.
This game is still in EA
There is a discord server for modding this game that often solves people's problems if the person with the issues can supply things such as logs. Also you should always (if you care about your saves/progress) back them up when using mods, that's just a standard rule for any modding.
Mods are certainly interesting for old games.
But not for new games and especially when the game isn't finished yet. But each to his own...
Also, OP admits to being on Day 253 which could only happen if they tried using their previous save from when they were having this issue. A reinstall of the game isn't going to fix anything.
Well, fully uninstalling isn't always as easy as deleting the files you copied in the first place. I don't know in the case of this game, but sometimes mods set flags, edit game files or keys in the registry, things that you don't see.
@OP Did you have the night shift mod installed? Because that one caused the problem for me. How exactly did you remove the mods?
Also regarding the posts on here about mods breaking peoples saves and such, how many of them have gone and dug through the logs, how many have trouble shooted every solution, how many use the modding discord. Mods break whenever any game updates, back up saves, turn off auto updates and don't expect mods to be working literal days after a big update lmao.
Just saying it isn't so easy to uninstall them, a save file might still be affected by previously installed mods. It's not like everyone knows that. But it's a good learning experience. Not the worst playing field to find out 3rd party apps can break things.
End of the day no one should be afraid or mods or tell people to avoid them, just make backups, play it safe, and research it a bit deeper
Omg thank you it was the night shift mod for me too, deleted it and it solved the issue
