Order of the store sections?

Does anyone know on what order sections are - like a pic where's showed which section is expanding to where in the store? That could help a lot of planning your store layout.
(I Googled it, but didn't find anything.)

I just got this the other day, and I'm slow on expansion because I want to focus on storage first. but after buying another store chunk, it FEELS like each "cube" of space starts out by the "Rear" (white door) wall, then works forewards.

Lots of games add a strip of space on two sides for wider and wider expansion. This one seems to be a 4x4 cube at a time forever.

Also, it seems to eat any paint that was on the walls of the opened up sections. Keep that in mind before you go wild paying for too little paint per can even for the early sizes

I thought so too, but I just bought Section 15 and it expanded the front wall where's windows, so I got one window more to wash. I hoped it was expanding from the back corner of the storage room wall, but no..
My Store Level is maxed, I'm still missing three Licenses (both book licenses and the last alcohol one) and now I'm just trying to gather money for expansions. I've already expanded and fully organized my storage and I'm focusing now to expand the store itself to get all the stuff to fit in.
And about painting - Like Grace1957 said, I've painted only the front wall and the storage wall too, for now. Not yet done anything to customize Storage.

expansions always go.. left short wall at windows 1st, then 2nd on that short wall, then 3rd, then it goes to back right corner by the storage room door, then next along back wall, then the next..and so on 4 times total, then back to the front by windows, 3 total spaces, then to back right corner over to the left back corner 4 spaces, once you have expanded until there is no more windows left you have reached the max left side expansion and all the remaining expansions will be only the back wall right to left 4 spaces, until you are done

Yeah max size is not the question, anyone could guess "Big cube/rectangle"

The question is the order chunks open up as you buy them, to plan future shelf space better.

So if I am reading this right, it alternates between the "Vertical (facing out from the storage door wall)", and "Horizontal" inwards from the street side?

One of those things that makes sense in hindsight, but harder to catch when in the middle of trying to add a new fridge and it has been in game weeks since your last new cube of floorspace.

Well if the already existing posts in this thread weren't enough, I figured the game makes it pretty clear how the store is going to expand as you play it. Therefore an idea of just how big the rectangle will be, seemed more useful at this point.

If you still need clarification, the store always expands to the left. After each expansion, it fills out the back (again, leftwards), before extending to the left some more. Rinse and repeat until it looks like you have an additional 3 windows bolted on to the customisable storefront (i.e. the first 2 growth upgrades).

Another thing caught my eye with these store sections in game when I watched videos was that all of them are marked as "4x4m", but for real the first two sections are more like 4x2 m.
I've played so long for now that I've forgotten everything from very start of the game.

Yeah it does start out as more of a 8x2 before committing to the 4x4. Almost makes it feel like you're doubling the store's size with each upgrade, in the beginning, and sets you up to think "oh wow, no wonder those last upgrades are so expensive." Then you buy section 3, and you're just left with "oh."
