Scale and helper

First of all, I think the scale is designed poorly the way it works. Here in CZE, customers are not stupid and can type in the product code themselves and don't need an employee to do it. And then, it often happens to me that the helper leaves the scale for the self-service checkout, but when I help there, the assistant gets stuck and stops, even though there is a queue at the scale. And in a while I have a store full of people marching back and forth and reporting that the queue at the scale is long. Please adjust this so that customers can weigh the goods themselves.

I have a helper for 3 self-service checkouts and a scale. He can easily operate them. He only stops when I help him. When I'm done helping, he carries on. It's best not to help.
