Thats my work around. I close mine and only have my AI checkout open 90% of the day but if it gets backed up I open mine, close and open the AI one rapidly and then go work my checkout until empty. Once an customer chooses a till they won't change until something else happens. If you close the AI till they will all jump to the new empty one and then you can immediately open the now empty AI till and none of them will move back but new customer can line up there.
Allows me to run around stocking and ordering product without getting interrupted then doing a large batch of checkouts all at once so you're not waiting at an empty till for customers to line up.
