Customers seems to favor AI checkout counter
I now have a shop with two checkout counters, one with AI and one serviced by myself.
Overall, my checkout speed is way higher than the AI. So my line of customers is quickly depleted.
So far I have seen now, customer still are moving to the back if the AI checkout counter whilst my counter is completely empty.

Why are customers not seeing my empty checkout counter? They should make the decision when they head to the checkout counter which has the shortest line.

The AI is not smart. I think we've all experienced this. Sometimes I close the checkouts the npcs are on so they'll go to mine.

Must be an easy fix that they prioritize empty checkouts before full ones and also change to another one if one line gets too long. This one is one of the must fix issues that should roll out in one essential update. The developers should gather the most urgent fixes and adress them rather soon, i hope and suggest.

Thats my work around. I close mine and only have my AI checkout open 90% of the day but if it gets backed up I open mine, close and open the AI one rapidly and then go work my checkout until empty. Once an customer chooses a till they won't change until something else happens. If you close the AI till they will all jump to the new empty one and then you can immediately open the now empty AI till and none of them will move back but new customer can line up there.

Allows me to run around stocking and ordering product without getting interrupted then doing a large batch of checkouts all at once so you're not waiting at an empty till for customers to line up.
