stockers are aweful with this update
i want to start out by saying i like almost everything with this new update except how the stockers act. i wanted them to pick up boxes from the curb and shelf them but with this they pick up boxes from anywhere and stock wherever rendering organizing useless. i used to help them because just 4 of them cant keep up with my current store size but since this update i cant even help because it takes so long to find anything because of them just throwing things on the shelves wherever they want. if they could maybe not just grab and stock and instead only do so when you have space on the shelf for it i think that would be better. for instance if i have 1 spot for chips then they would stock it full and leave the extras where they lay rather than just throwing boxes on shelves and ruining the organizing mechanic in the game. having set shelfs means nothing if they just do what they want with the storage shelves. other than this one issue i think the game is great.

Mine are picking up from the curb just fine. If you have extra boxes in the storeroom, they will try to put them on the shelves. You'll have to go through that stock in order to clear that excess out.

the problem isnt them picking up the boxes from the curb its that you have no control over organzing anymore with this update. if something is full on the shelf they just make new spots for everything making the placeholders on the shelf pointless since if its empty they will put anything they want it its spot.

If you have marked a shelf for product X, but you are empty, will they fill that empty place with product Y even if it's marked for product X? That woudl be really bad with the shelfs that can only hold 1 or 2 boxes.

If they are just looking of unclaimed shelfs it's not that bad. You just need to fire them whenever you are buying new stuff. They should add a pause button.

the way ive seen them work so far is that if you have a spot for it they fill that first and then just throw extra anywhere there is space. i believe they start with empty space first but if you have no empty space they will put it in out of stock stuff

The removal of labels in the storage area doesn't make any sense.
Employees themselves put labels on racks.
Fine if employees use them as unlabelled racks for temporary storage, but no, players have to remove the labels.

Are you talking about shelves or racks? Terminology is important because it helps in communication.

The stockers throwing out the empty boxes I had saved for reorganizing products in the store was extremely frustrating. I also close each day by consolidating half-full large boxes such as toilet paper, which is made more difficult by stockers trying to pick up boxes I set down on the floor. Those behaviors shouldn't have been implemented until moving items without boxes is implemented.

I love that they bring in newly delivered boxes now, but I wish they would stock the way I do myself:
1) full boxes below/in front of the partially filled box, so the partial box gets picked up first
2) don't just park things on unlabeled rack sections; fill up the labeled sections and then stop picking up stuff. Only the player should have "permission" to set a label anywhere

Firing and rehiring to organize or add newly licensed items wastes money; there is a flat hire fee each time. We need a way to send the stockers "on break", or change some of these behaviors in the settings menu, or something to that effect.

My storeroom is an unorganized mess at the moment, because of the stupid stocker keep placing products where I already have a label. :steamsad: Why can't they just respect the label placement. :steamfacepalm:

a lot of what this person has said is going along with how im feeling as well. having 4 stockers right now for the store size of 100 customers a day my stockers cant keep up. i had items set on the floor to help them by taking on part of the stocking for them but with this new update i cant and they just crammed everything i had onto random spots on thier own which is irritating because now they are back to falling behind and i also cant find things as easy because of this action. i totally agree with needing functions to better control the stock people so we can run the store better. ive done testing with this today and found that if you have already had a save going they seem to place anywhere there is space. if you start fresh they will go with the first placed rack and move down the line filling it completely. if you have out of stock items and no free space left they WILL just fill that spot with whatever you have left and ignore the label there. with them acting this way it doesnt matter if i have set labels anymore since they just do what they want with the items.

Love this game, but these stockers are making it impossible to play. They threw away all my empty boxes, they can now pick up every box so how do I reorganize shelves when I purchase new items. We need to be able to somehow label the boxes, shelves/refrigerators, and racks so the stockers won't touch them. this way we can reorganize things properly. All other updates are great.

Also when stocking shelves, several of them will all do the same product, doing a couple items each. Which just makes more partial boxes and is horribly inefficient.

I love and dislike this update. I'm glad the stockers now put away purchased product. It saves a lot of time but frustrating when you want the first box you grab to be the one with least amount of items. I hate it when I purchase new licenses and buy the product the stockers shove all the new products to any available space in storage, making it difficult to find. Before I purchase the next license, I'll have to put an empty rack by the door. It's now frustrating to organize the store. I usually put boxes on the ground and the stockers will pick them up and put them away.

Was really looking forward top this update when I saw it a couple of hours ago. Started a new store, got to my first stocker and he is constantly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about infront of a shelf with a box but wont do anything. Fired the gimp only to be replaced only to be replaced by his stupid brother who does exactly the same thing. Not to mention going through a wall behind me to the stockroom and collecting something or passing through the window where the door USED to be to exit the store. I have not even had time to look and see what mess they might make in the stockroom but labels are there for a reason and should be obeyed no matter what. Come on devs, a little bit more thought please guys, you were doing great.
