So modding it will be...
I am tired of waiting for an update.
Yea yea... early access, single developer, side project, takes time, all that jazz...
Thing is that my progress slowed down quite A LOT all of a sudden. Just reached level 42 last night... but it took me about a week to get from 30 to 42 for the new licences (I can only afford to play for a couple of hours every evening, cuz you know... life, responsibilities and other crap).
So I imagine it will take maybe 2-3 weeks for me to reach the next stage of unlocking new licences... and I feel sick just thinking about it.
I am not a fan of using mods per se... but it feels like the lesser of two evils (the secong evil being to continue to wait for noone knows how long before the dev throws us a bone).
I could always shelf the game and wait several months, but I don't want to.
Can anyone, please provide a list with all available mods. I checked nexus mods website, but strangely, I was able to find only 5 or 6 mods there and I asume the reason is that I do not know where to look (again - not a fan of modding as a concept, this will be my first dive into these waters).

Yes indeed.. maybe this is true, we don't know.
That is why I am not whining about the lack of updates, but am asking about a list of mods, from which I can choose what to apply to my game in order to freshen up my gameplay.

There's only so long this can wash, to be honest.

It has sold *incredibly* well - enough I suspect to make the solo developer a fairly wealthy man almost overnight. I have no objection to this, of course; you make your own future and I wish him the best.

It's been 17 days since the last *minor* update though and even longer since a significant update.

How much longer can we keep on saying "but it's only one guy!" before it starts to feel like progress has become glacial to non-existent?

We know it's just one guy. It's repeated ad nauseam on these boards, but that's not a forever excuse for waiting for QoL updates.

I agree entirely with you. The only difference in my case is that I have never modded a game before and when I found nexus and used a video to try, i erred. From what I understand it would be so much easier if the mods were part of Steam. I understand the dev is busy. I do appreciate all that he has done. I love this game. So I have vowed to teach myself modding so I can continue to play it. If anyone has a video on how to mod from nexus that may help me, I would appreciate a link.

This is actually an easy modding experience compared to most.

First download this: https://www.nexusmods.com/supermarketsimulator/mods/9

Read it's description page. It describes how to set it up.

After that, look through the mods on Nexus and pick out the ones you'd like. Read the description pages for each. It will tell you where the files need to go.

It's pretty easy.

It cant be that hard to make some changes, when other people make mods so quickly, because the game really needs many changes. All that you can do by the help off mods, and have a much better experience, and have more time to design your store or something else.
