The checkout counter quit working once I reached 294. I am almost level 21 still stuck at 294 checkouts.

Are you performing the checkouts yourself? I don't think the checkers that you hire count towards this rolling count. If It's stuck, you can always try to save and reload, see if that clears that up, most errors get cleared this way at the moment.

Yeah, logging out, and reloading fixes a ton of problems in most games. That is usually my first option.
