Does "Checkouts are full" have any effects on customers?
Hello,
if you don't have enough cash registers open, the customer will say "The checkouts are full!" and they will wander around sometimes, waiting patiently until it is their turn to line up.
But does it have any other effects? Like you get fewer customers if that happens frequently or something?

Don't care for now. I am at max lvl and after 3pm all 4 checkouts start full till the end. No effect till a new patch comes.

Tested that myself. Only had one checkout with the AI cashier open, the customers complained a lot and walked around the store and stood there, nothing happens, no drop in sales or something. At least for now.
I hope they add a speed buff to the cashiers before adding negative impacts. Each real Supermarket would fire these AI cashiers for their slow work. Personally, i got a mod that allows to change the cashier's speed and it makes life easier.

I'm at level 37, and I can handle all customers with only one "Checkouts are full" complaint per day.

Hopefully in the future, customers get frustrated and leave--and all of the products they were going to buy just fall to the floor.

If they make customers leave, they need to make the cashiers faster. They are so slow they would get fired on their first day in any realistic supermarket. I like the idea, but we need something for the later game that deals with the snail cahsiers.

I have them installed, these mods are really great, but it would be really nice if something like this goes into the actual game without mods.

I'm level 82, and I have all 4 checkouts with cashiers, plus I run a register after noon, and I still get it sometimes. I have yet to have a customer leave, or drop their products on the floor, but if I don't open my register, that's all I see on my screen. The only thing it might impact me on is my experience points. I have not seen any other impacts.

I would like to see a "training program" for both cashiers and stockers. I have more trouble with the stockers being slow than the cashiers.

Yeah, the Restockers are even worse, i recommend "More cloned Restockers" mod, this allows you to hire more of them, although it is sometimes buggy.
Or you could use "Fast Forward" and go to x 3 or x 5 after the last customer left until the Restockers are done.

I love the self checkouts (in game, not in life), because they take up so much less floor space! I have 1 manned and the rest (4) self-serve (level 60-something), full from about 7 pm onwards and for a while "after hours" after 9 pm.
