Which mods I use, what they do and why I use mods (and save game editing) at all
Dear Supermarket managers,

today I want to talk about the mods I use, give a short description of what it does and how I categorize them.

I have 70 hours in game, my store is level 90, all product licenses acquired, all but the last 5 expansions acquired, all 8 employees acquired, 27 rack storage, neatly organized and heavily modded.

Mods can be found on NexusMods. You need to install „Tobey’s BepinEx x MelonLoader Pack for Supermarket Simulator“ first. There is a tutorial on that mod’s page. After that, you can add the other mods found there.

The first category is called „Absolutely necessary to avoid being driven mad by endlessly repeating tedium“:

- Portable Scanner: Allows you to just click on a product label to add it to the order basket. Can add the number of boxes needed to fill a storage space at once.

- No Max Order Limit: You can add as many items to the basket as you like, the limit of 10 is gone.

- Smart Pocket Boxes: Allows you to a) produce a box from thin air fitting for the item you are looking at and b), consolidate all the boxes in a storage rack into as few boxes as possible.

- EZDelivery: Restockers are too lazy to move the boxes from the streets to the storage, and so am I. This mod delivers any new order directly into storage (if there is space).

- Auto Price Updater: What it says on the tin. Customizable; I use market price rounded up to the nearest X.X0 value, for example.

- No overwriting labels: You cannot overwrite labels accidentally and have to delete them manually.

- Pause Restockers: Useful for re-organizing shelf spaces.

- The Night Shift: Finish the day and the restockers will work through the night. The next mornig, everything is stocked. Eliminates a lot of waiting.

- Restock indicator: colors a rack label red when a stocker has the corresponding box in hand. No overbuying items that have no free space.

- Better cashier: Customizable cashier speed. From sloth to cheetah with just a few tweaks.

These are the mods I literally cannot play without and are, in fact, mostly things that should be in the game at some point or are already announced.

The second category is called „Nice to have“:

- RDC stock manager: You can see the stock in the store and the storage while you order items from the pc. Might be useful for ordering „just in time“.

- Auto Bills: Bills are paid at the start of every day automatically. Basically just a preference, as there is no penalty for paying them automatically after a few days.

- More Customers: Adds, you guessed it, more customer. In my game at level 89, it was about 170 with and about 100 wothout the mod. Basically a mod for faster, but in the end not really more progress and earning.

- MarketAlwaysOpen: You can order goods after 9 pm, when the shop might be still full of customers anyway.

- No More Cars: It, well, removes cars. City is not as loud and performance might go up a bit.

- DespawnOnCheckout: Customers will vanish into thin air after paying, also increasing performance. Reduces lag especially on higher store levels.

These are the mods I could live without.

You may ask, why mod at all? For me, the answer is balance. The game is starting to get reeeeeeally slow on higher levels. On 82, I added 600.000 $ by savegame-editing (do not use the mods available for this, there is a great guide on how to manually edit a savegame in the steam guides) to be able to buy more licenses and room upgrades, which would have taken days otherwise. Ordering and restocking would be a pain without some mods with all licenses. I find fun in progress, and at some point, there basically would be none without hours and hours of tedious grinding. As of now, I go through the storage every morning, consolidate boxes, scan what I need to order, make the order, let the stockers do their job and see where I can help during the day. Takes a few minutes every „morning“ instead of 30 to 60.

I am sure the developer(s?) will adress this issue later, but for now, I like how I was able to organize my store and look forward to future updates.

I'm using all of these, but DespawnOnCheckout, NoMoreCars, AutoBills.
I'm also using some others, can't remember names, I'm currently on the phone.

I have many of those listed above, plus a few others that I like.
Same as you, plus some additional ones, about 30 mods all together.

Store Customizer is pretty to recolor the store. I hope the dev take a notice and add it to the game.
