Store expansion vs Storage area
I finally got 14th expansion to the store, yea now more good looking store but I don't think to buy any more product licenses. I am at lvl 89 and already 4 licenses wait there. Why I don't want to get them cause storage area really not enough for new products. I have 26 racks at storage and PC. If I try to more racks it become clostrofobic and to hard to walk and put boxes to the exact spot of the rack. Accually try 32 rack and I really hate and go back to 26 design. in 2 game day I will reach lvl 90 and all licenses open so 27 more products wait to be add to the store but not to the storage :(
Dev please find a more realistic solution for this problem. Maybe storage can be moved to the basement of the store area and this storage area become our office. In the future you can add rest room securty room to this area so it will be used for other purposes.

Edit: How to solve to reach basement storage.
We will start to buy expansions for the storage like before, When we buy all expansions new basement become. To reach there you can add a staircase bettwen old storage out door and in door stairs. So we can expand all of the basement as storage like store expansions.

I think there is a mod on nexus that expands storage.

Yes there is but I want to suggest in game solution. Also at road map we see securtiy suveilance room maybe office so those rooms can be add old storage area after basement opened.

I have 25 racks (200 slots) + PC, I have all the licenses (163 products) and I still have empty slots. I don't mind if the developer expands the storage but what is already there is sufficient.

Like Eram said, I think the key is to figure out how much we need to store of each item. This is quite a puzzle, since it not only depends upon the size of the boxes, but also the number of units per box. I use a full rack for all the biggest boxes (200x200x200), but while this seems to be absolutely necessary for goods like whole chicken and potatoes, it's not as critical for bleach, for example, since these boxes contain more items per box.

Over time, we can probably learn to fine-tune and optimize our shelving and be able to fit everything (mods allowing for easier restocking also help a lot with this), but it can't be denied, that the lack of storage space IS indeed quite a challenge for now. Difficult, but not impossible... but it could also be argued, that any good game is SUPPOSED to challenge the player, make us think, optimize, find solutions.
There are two factors to look out for if you want to put something into a storage rack:
  1. The number of shelves spaces you can fill with 1 delivery carton
  2. The number of delivery cartons that you can put into one rack space
Some products like sodas & juices, cheese, hand soap and shampoo are good to put onto storage racks, as one rack space can hold 6 shelve spaces worth of products. For sodas & juices it's even better since 1 delivery carton equals to 2 fridge spaces.

Other products are bad to put there, like Toilet paper, potato sacks and bleach, since one delivery carton goes into one shelves space and takes up one entire rack space, so it's a 1:1:1 ratio.

Some products are a mixed bag to store there as their delivery cartons can fit multiple times into a shelve space but only two can fit into a rack space, like dishwasher tabs. For these specifically i choose how i wan't to go about this.

Now overall this can also be adjusted with prices and how much shelve space you dedicate to a certain product.

Cereal for example fits 1:1 into a shelve space vs the delivery carton, even though 2 deliveries can fit into one rack space, making it a 1:1:2 okish ratio.
But in my case i stopped putting cereal into racks and dedicated more shelve space for that.
Or dishwasher tabs: they fit in a 2:1 ratio into shelves vs the delivery carton, but they can only be stacked twice on a rack space, making the ratio 2:1:2, better but not quite worth it in my opinion.
Sure i have to refill those manually, but then again i don't have to order a ton of items everyday, which i think is the most important thing here.

Right now i have only 6-7 racks filled out of the, what, 17-18 racks that are still empty. I'm currently at the sushi and freezer meals license but after clearing out my storage racks and dedicating more shelve space to products i feel much better about moving forward.
