Storage vs Supermarket
Hi, How is that supposed to work? You can expand the supermarket very far with a very large number of items. But the warehouse is very small in relation to the supermarket. Even if it is fully expanded. You can't store all the items there. How do you do that?

This is where restockers come into play. They will automatically grab items from your storage and stock those items when any shelf section drops by 25% stock if you have stock available in storage. You don't want a massive storage room, you want those items in your store to sell as much as possible. The main purpose of the storage room is only to hold extra stock to maintain the levels in your store throughout the day while using restockers.

Grocery stores have much smaller stock rooms (or storage rooms) than their main floor. The idea is to have most items on the main floor for the customers to have access to. So as far as the game goes, it's fine how it is. There is no reason to have a larger storage room than what is currently in the game.

To put it in perspective, you can fit 32 storage racks (as well as your computer) in a fully upgraded storage room. Each storage rack has 8 sections to store separate products, which gives you a total of up to 256 storage rack sections to store products. Considering there are 162 products currently in-game IIRC, you can store every single item in the game on the storage racks and still have 94 sections left to double/triple/quadruple up on some of the larger boxes where only one box fits in one section.

Where do you got this information? If you expand the storage to maximum (its not very expensive), then you have more than enough space.
For example: I have 120 items unlocked and I only need the walls of the storage. Every item has enough space in storage shelves. I have no shelf in the middle of the storage and also the computer is at the wall.
Between the shelves, I have often big boxes, like frigdes or toilet paper. More than enough space.

---------------------------------

Platz satt!

in the storage room you only need one item slot on a shelf per item there is definitely plenty of room.

both of you are wrong you nened 23 store room expansions if thier are 23 store exspaisosn becuase som items take for shelf space then other especially if sell a lot of same product type because if products that sells out quickly then you need to store more of it beacuse thats what makes you money so you end up taking up more then one shelf space

You absolutely do not need 23 storage spaces. You're not going to sell SO much product that you need more than a single shelf for any product that doesn't take up an entire shelf with one box. How poorly are you implementing your space that you need 23 storage expansions? Do you mean storage racks?

I have had 30 shelves enter from the street transversally, the problem is that there are areas that you have to jump over to access.
