This game from what I understand only has one developer focused on doing basic things that make the game easier for you but they don't implement progression.
Releasing a game that is only an idea as an alpha means that it has a lot of debt of basic things that never let you advance in the game.

Adding a person to help you restocking products, adding a warehouse, adding labels, adding various automations, counters, etc... those things don't add attractiveness to the gameplay, they just make your life easier.

But why do you want them to make your life easier if you've already played the game for 100 hours? When you come back to the game you want new content, you don't want to know that something you did the hard way can now be done in an easier way.

And in spite of all the fans of the game, it's going to be the same as with "Sons of the forest" They spent 1 year adding basic features that you don't care about because they don't add anything new. Yes more guns, more costumes, more employees, more... more of the same.

Imagine after 3 weeks:
They've added a laser gun that scans the barcode and you order the product directly, you can even schedule daily orders. Why is this going to make me come back to the game? I already did it without a gun and without automation.

PS: In today's society where there is so much competition you are not going to wait months to see changes that don't mean a big change in gameplay.

I would never normally get involved in one of these long discussion threads but how can the suggestions mentioned in the OP happen without the basics first?

The game is crying out for assistance in stocking and basic everyday requirements of the game, which has been made by many contributors to this discussion forum as a positive suggestion. I was quite surprised at how much the dev had planned ahead with the all the different stages of development of the store and product range.

You have some great ideas but why are you expecting such advanced developments before the necessary basic ones?

You say the game will die but I have been very pleasantly surprised at how many are playing such an undemanding but intriguing game and at all the positive comments and appreciation both the dev and game are getting.

So why are you spending so much time on replying to the responses to your original post?
What is your problem with such an innocuous straight-forward game like Supermarket Simulator?

Man a lot of hate to the OP but he makes some very good points. Idk that the game is dead per say but the sustainability at it's current rate is very poor. I think youtubers/streamers probably brought a lot of people to this game now like they did for me but after around the 10-15 hour mark of playing you are just basically stocking endless shelves like you're working an actual job lol. Adding a restocker isn't going to fix that much but the notes at the title screen do say they are adding things like shoplifting, security cameras etc. If they want this game to work longer term they need more to bring you back besides stocking all day long. I personally just plan to wait for an update to play again, I mean it is early access so i didn't expect a polished game. I just hope there is an update to do more than buy and stock products because like I said that gets old fast.

Also some of these comments back to the OP are so ridiculous lol must be a lot of little kids in here.

Complaining about a dead game that has been out a couple of weeks, with an ACTIVE developer is not fair.

That is why the OP is taking so much heat. He is being unfair to the developer, and HE is acting like the little kid here.

You're talking about "Sustainability" in a single player simulation game... Not every game has to have constant updates/dlc for years. This game will prob get some good updates over the next few months then fully release and that'll be it.... maybe he'll increase his studio and make bigger updates or dlc or a new game who knows...

This isn't a "live service" game that costs $60...
