The game is already dead.
This game from what I understand only has one developer focused on doing basic things that make the game easier for you but they don't implement progression.
Releasing a game that is only an idea as an alpha means that it has a lot of debt of basic things that never let you advance in the game.

Adding a person to help you restocking products, adding a warehouse, adding labels, adding various automations, counters, etc... those things don't add attractiveness to the gameplay, they just make your life easier.

But why do you want them to make your life easier if you've already played the game for 100 hours? When you come back to the game you want new content, you don't want to know that something you did the hard way can now be done in an easier way.

And in spite of all the fans of the game, it's going to be the same as with "Sons of the forest" They spent 1 year adding basic features that you don't care about because they don't add anything new. Yes more guns, more costumes, more employees, more... more of the same.

Imagine after 3 weeks:
They've added a laser gun that scans the barcode and you order the product directly, you can even schedule daily orders. Why is this going to make me come back to the game? I already did it without a gun and without automation.

Rest in peace supermarket simulator

PS: In today's society where there is so much competition you are not going to wait months to see changes that don't mean a big change in gameplay.

Well, it's a game... to play. You're not supposed to live in it. It's just meant to be fun running a store, and it's your decision whether you add more products to the inventory. It actually works without buying additional licenses. For my part, it's been a lot of fun so far, even though it takes some time to restock the shelves. But that's exactly the point of the game: buy goods, place them on the shelves, and sell those products... and it starts all over again. That's pretty much all the game is supposed to be at this point.

You don’t need to play the game if you don’t want to. Nobody is making you hate it. You are choosing to. The game is still early on in development with one developer which will hire more people in the future once the game makes more money

The 38,000+ playing at peak today - good for 33rd on steam, ahead of games like Cyberpunk, RDR2, Lethal Company, Enshrouded, etc. - almost certainly disagree with you.

If the OP is not happy with the game, he can find another game to complain about. I rather enjoy this game and will tell all my friends about it. Yes its a one dev team, and I respect him all the more for creating such an awesome game like this all by himself.

You know what mid term means? Sons of the forest and texas chainsaw had even better numbers and look where they are after few weeks ;)

Nobody will play a repetitive and unbalanced game

You cant compare SOTF to Supermarket Simulator. Apples and oranges. Besides...SOTF was rubbish compared to The Forest.

It's only Early Access and has only 1 person working on it. Such great unreasonable standards you have. Neurotic comments are typical.

You didnt get my point. Yes its fun so far and?? and before that? once you have done 40h-60h doing the same whatelse?

I am saying for keeping alive this game the updates should be NEW things not things like storage or restocking cause those things does not add any extra value to the game.

I am not saying the game is not fun, I am saying the way the developer is doing his job is the same way of the Sons of the forest did last year and those things did not work. Cause players want new content.

I paid for it I dont care if there are 1 person or 80. When you buy bread you dont pay more or you dont get less quality due its just one person. Neurotic what xD?

Totally disagree with OP. This game is great and is getting almost daily attention from the Dev. I applaud him for his efforts. I APPLAUD him for the greatness that is Supermarket Simulator.

Bye Bye OP. Wish I could say it was nice knowing you, but ...

Ok...I'll bite.....

What do you think the dev should do, considering its just one dev and this game was just released? This is a supermarket simulator, and so far I think the dev is doing a pretty good job. He is just starting on this project. So far it is pretty basic but give him a year or two and this may not even look like it does now.

Yes is cool to be nice with other people cause they are starting but before few weeks nobody will remember this game either play it.
Business are business, being just 1 is not an excuse on a business model. People won't wait 1-2 years for new contents.

From my point of view he should leave basic improvements and start doing real progress like idk:
- Rats plagues on lvl 50
- Robberies at lvl 60
- Buy you own delivery van/truck at lvl 70
- Dusk, cleaning at lvl 75
- Export/import products lvl 80
- Buy new shops at 90
- At 100 you can drive your truck towards your multiple shops
- Social media ads
- Sponsors
- buy farms and groceries to get discount on products.
- Interview with future employees
- Training employees
- Penalty to employees (ie: too many mistakes with change)
- Leave sicks

REAL progress not JUST stuck in a shop doing always the same.

I mean extra storage space or a guy who can order and restockign from the wharehouse is not a game progress are automatic task.
