Do not open the store if you are not ready and have not filled up, otherwise you will cause yourself unnecessary stress during operation,
I always do it like this, in my big store it takes time, I then order and fill the shelves, which takes more than the day, it feels like 2 hours then I open it, what's gone is gone I order and don't fill it in the middle of the operation

It would be nice to be able to preset what should be put in the shelves, so that you can refill them with the push of a button, only if the things are available in the warehouse, or that your cashiers know what goes where and on which shelf

It should go into the warehouse automatically after ordering

I'm busier with stocking shelves than the day takes xd
As far as I'm concerned, it would be cool to start the day and the shop isn't open so that your cashier can help refill the shelves, but then, not while the shop is open, I never refill it, like in real life, if something isn't there, bad luck then next day xd

Do what I do, make everything expensive and you don't have to worry about stocking it

You spend 20+ irl minutes restocking at lvl30+, so i would just wait untill restockers update.

I've mostly given up on trying to restock during the day; it becomes too hectic after a few upgrades.

I restock everything to full in the morning before opening. I always keep one extra box of each product, either in the storage room or on the sidewalk outside alternating each day.

So lets say today my storage is full of boxes, 1 for each product. I grab one product, stock whatever is left on the shelf, and then buy whatever I need to end up with 1 extra box, and then I toss that into a pile on the sidewalk. The next day I'll grab from the sidewalk pile and then throw the extras into the storage room.

This is the fastest / most brainless way I could come up with to restock but it still takes a decent chunk of time.

I also dedicate a pretty large section to each product, generally 2 products per shelf / fridge (or 1 product per freezer) to make sure nothing runs out during the day. I'm not entirely happy with this since it's not very space-efficient but I'm not going to bother rethinking it until I see how effective the restockers are.

A couple products just take up way too much space without restocking them throughout the day. Chicken is a big one since you can only fit 8 per freezer (seems like this should be increased). You would need like 3 freezers just dedicated to chickens to make sure you never run out, which is way too much space. It's one of the few products that I keep an eye on throughout the day and restock as needed.

I use one half shelf, and 1 full fridge/freezer (sometimes more for big items like chicken/potato/toilet paaper) per item. That way I usually have stock for multiple days. Every morning I walk around and usually have to order 0-1 box for every item and fill from the top. The empty lower shelf usually tells me it's restocking time. Then it's a game of remembering how many rows one box can fill and adjust

doin it before opening the store

I keep seeing you tell yourself this, yes you do, but in 5 minutes after you open the store the shelves are empty again, they must do something in the next update to help us and we can see the stock more easily

If you run out of stock before end of day, then you need more of it on shelves. If you don't have shelf space, then buy another shelf.

I usually store an extra box or two of the product next to, or on top of, the shelf or fridge itself so that restocking is super quick. Grab the box, fill the shelf, toss the box back on top of the shelf/fridge. EZ

And again: A restocker is planned and the dev is bringing it until end of this week.

I am at shoplevel 34 and I have 54 customers per day. NOTHING goes empty in the end of the day, even I dont refill anything during the day.
You just need more items in your shelves! toilet paper and potatoes for example, need a whole shelf (yes, 4x4 for toilet paper and 4x4 for potatoes).

Its really not that hard to understand...

Up arrow.

If you're running out of things, it's bad management. Not saying get gud here, just saying learn the game as you go and pace yourself. Most people who have these issues, in my experience, are trying to rush things and do everything as fast as possible and all at once. Slow down, enjoy the ride.

You see what goes out every day. You know certain items go out like crazy :cough: toilet paper :cough: so prepare. And if it doesn't for a couple days, so what? Shelves are cheap and don't have to be replaced like product does. And that means one less thing to restock. Just keep an eye on your prices.

Restock all your shelves before you open for the day and have a few extra boxes of things that sell quickly sitting on the floor for you to grab quickly and restock the shelves if needed during the day. I know its a bit nuts but until we get shelf stockers in the game, thats what we have to do.

Are you still playing prologue where time starts as soon as you start new day?

Get the EA version if so. Time doesn't start in the morning til you hit the open sign.
