I don't happen to like Roblox, so getting it just because it's free isn't going to really benefit me or give me any enjoyment. I'll happily pay the small price for this game, which I am enjoying, instead.
And that's the thing about opinions, neighbor. We all have different ones on different things. And that's okay. You play what you like, I'll play what I like and at the end of the day, everyone's happy.
I am not going to doubt you on Playway here, as that is a tactic they have been doing for some time now, and they are not alone I am pretty sure they have other aliases. But yes they do seem to put out a banging trailer for a game idea and see how much traction it gets before putting any effort into making the game..
That's regardless though, all the games are made by independent developers, Playway is just the "LJN" of the Steam platform, sure a lot of the games have the same assets and distinctive feel but some are actually quite entertaining.. and for the price they cost, I don't care if they stay in early access or not.
What do these games cost < £20 in most cases? and for that I get a good few hours if not longer of enjoyment, That might just about buy a round of drinks at my local if we get the cheap stuff, so when I think about it like that, its not that bad value. Basically if I can get a "nights out" worth of value out of these games its not a big deal for me, they are good for a bit of a mindless fun, which is what I want in a game.
Now I am looking at the 16,000 in game right now... and thinking how much money this single dev has made from such a simple concept... and I applaud them.. they could have made it in roblox and made 0, but they decided to use their skills and make this game in "a day" and make how much? 160k? (of course not counting the steam fees ect...) in a week? Well done to them.. I am happy to give them my money as even with the prolouge I got more enjoyment out of that than most other AAA game I have tried in the past few years, with all their over priced games and hidden micro-transactions and the like.
I don't know why you are hating so much, are you just jealous you didn't think of this?
I’ve played for 40 hours and I understand the reason for EARLY and FULL game!
Do you need an teaspoon like an 3 year old eat? Or are you 20 year old how to learn how to read an ID OR are you 25+ yrs old and know how to run a business without your boss smalltalk to you every second?
Found the 12yo troll who loves roblox more than their own family
My point is valid either way, the fact the developer had made a smart move by selling this game rather than making a "free" version on roblox. Like anyone would have done if they had any brains...
King of retail got abandoned before it was ready. King of retail was in early access atleast 2 or 3 years. released and immediately abandoned. Of course King of Retail is better right now.... how good was it though in the first week of EA?? Also how much did it cost at the time of EA release?
King of Retail has no sense of expiration dates on grocery products- your employees call out or ask for raises every other day.
