I think it is a shame that in this game you are forced to keep it in the foreground so that the game is not paused.
I only know such forced actions from cell phone apps when you play a game and you are forced to watch ads.
Why is the developer forcing you to keep the game in the foreground so that it is not paused?
There are so many simulator games on the market where this is not the case, why didn't they include it here as well?
Like the majority, I am in favor of removing this pause!
If I had to take a random guess with my layman knowledge it would be more than likely that it's because of coding and optimization since it has to keep track of every single item both in each individual box, each storage shelf and then each display shelf/freezer/fridge and then at each register and then each customer bag.
To make sure that everything is calculated correctly without any loss of "fidelity" (since programs run slower when the GPU is "looking" elsewhere) to maintain accuracy he went with just forcing the "only run in foreground" option.
Isn't it just one guy making this whole thing, or am I misremembering that?
EDIT: I do still wish this was removed as I'd like to be able to tab out and do other things occasionally.
In this game, you can hire cashiers and displayers so that you no longer have to cash out or fill the shelves on your own.
Furthermore, you only have to place orders, put them in the warehouse and the rest is done by your employees and it would be very pleasant to have the game running in the backgroudn while you can do something else besides watching the game until your employees are finished.
