helpful tip about boxes
not sure if this is in here anywhere. there's a lot of talk about boxes in general so it's hard to search and figure out if this has been mentioned but i hope it will help ppl.

You can use any empty box to move items off a shelf as long as it's the same size box the product originally came in. so when you buy a new license and now want to rearrange everything but you only have full boxes, this can help.

for example, you can move the yellow oil with an empty green oil box, or an empty shampoo box. You can move the potatoes off a shelf using an empty chicken box, or move butter into an empty beer bottle box.

harder to do when you're starting out but later on, i've found it useful to keep one storage rack full of empty boxes in all sizes so when i want to rearrange i can.

Also, when i'm doing a full rearrangement of the store, i just fire the stockers and rehire them when i'm done. I have three and it's worth the $300 extra it costs just to get them out of my hair.

Hope that helps at least a few ppl !! :)

Here's a couple things I do when I want to move things around without firing staff.

1. Remove the item your moving from shelve(s) in storage room, to prevent stockers restocking as you pull stuff from shelf your moving from.

2. If you don't have a box, just buy 1 of whatever you want to move and use it to stock the shelf you want to use going forward then you can pull from the shelf your changing. You'll be left one full box when finished.
