Suggestion: Ability to open/close cashier.
Once I unlocked my first cashier hire, I envisioned this working different. I added a second checkout with the intentions of me being a backup cashier. So the new hire would be the dedicated cashier, while I restock shelves, check inventory, and order stock. But once I get caught up on that, I'd take up the 2nd cash register and help catch up, since I'm faster than the A.I.

The problem is as long as I have 2 cash registers, customers always line up at both. So I have to keep babysitting the cash register, or people will wait for eternity to process their order.

I think it would be good if when nobody is manning a checkout, it's considered closed, and people ignore it. But when the player or an A.I. is manning it, They will line up to the checkout with the shortest line

you can put the second cash register back in its box by holding left click with it selected to move it. prevents customers from attempting to use it, then you can re-unbox it when you're ready to start checking people out again. it's not like immersion friendly or anything, but better than nothing.

Problem with this. If you've unlocked the Restocker (and even when you fire him), the 'can't place items on the ground anymore' bug forces you to carry it with you, not allowing you to do anything but carry it. You can't even throw it anywhere.
