Store Layout (For Aethetic)
I'm interested to know the store layout everyone else is using.

Currently I have my four checkouts vertically to the right side and in-front of the door (with enough space to be realistic). To the left I have all the fridges against the wall, leaving the windows free (nothing against them). Then I have a row of back to back freezers in front of the fridges. The shelves go all around the back wall and to the right up to the storage room door, and then I have rows of shelves whilst being careful not to go too close to the checkouts where people queue.

How does everyone else have their store laid out? I'm particularly interested in cashier placement as it's difficult to find a good spot whilst ensuring there is enough space for all the shelves etc. I don't have full store expansion yet, working towards that. I'm aware the self check outs are coming in an update at some point, and I have no idea where i'm going to find the space to fit those, haha.

Going much slower this time around limiting the shelf space to 2-3 per item so the stock racks do not overflow... I'm still against auto restockers... but wanted to try them for a more complete picture. As we still need to take the stock from the curb to the storeroom.. it kinda balances out Automation v Simulation.

But will admit i like this layout better even if only lower level.

oh i really like your refrigerator/freezer isle.... I think I may have to copy that isle :)

PS: would be interesting to see how you've set up your store room. :)

Thanks! Yeah feel free to copy lol. I haven't got max store expansion but I do have max storage expansion. I still need to re-arrange all my items to be categorised better, but that's a big task so haven't gotten round to that yet. I did start grouping related items together but not properly.

Here are images of my storage room. It works for now but not sure how it will work when I get more licenses. Still some space though.

first off.. im seeing things I didn't think of in my own games.....
But seeing your storeroom.. do you have trouble maintaining stock? Or do you only keep for example 2 boxes in store for restocking?
I ask as I ended up with a mess when hitting shop level 70ish.

Yes. That's why my point of view is a bit higher in the screenshot. I'm standing on the desk :D

I found if you put the checkouts at a slight angle you can fit in more.
Early screenshot from before the restock update.

No, I find it pretty easy. I have tried to group items of similar type together and I know from memory now where everything is. Stock amount wise, I have a rule to keep stock about 20 units for each item, so each day I will have a look at what is below 20 units and order more. This isn't the case for bleach, potatoes, chicken, or toilet paper though. For those items I just maintain a full storage rack.

It is time consuming stocking each day but nothing like what it used to be before the stockers update.

That said, I haven't got the last two licenses for my current store level, though I don't see them creating much of an issue as I still have a lot of space. Not sure how it will be once I hit your store level and have more licenses though. I feel the store room should be bigger. Maybe they'll bring out more expansion later.
