Numpad for card payment
If it's possible to be able to enter the amount to be paid by card through the numpad that'd be awesome.

Awesome news! Loving the game so far!
I don't know why you have to enter the dollar amount in the first place, that's not how it works in rl stores, the customer inserts the card, the transaction goes through, and they go on their way. Punching in the numbers is a unnecessary step to slow down the process of the checkout. It should work the same as when they give you exact change, hit the space bar to finalize the transaction.

it all depends on the software. all supermarkets haven't the means to pay for proprietary software that manages everything the cashier does automatically. At least at the beginning

If a store has a card reader then they have the software that connects it to the cash register, otherwise it would be like in the olden days where the cards were inserted into a metal gadget to make a copy of them along with the transaction amount on paper, the store kept a paper copy and the customer got a copy.

I've been to some family owned stores and restaurants where they have to physically type in the amount on the keypad like in the game. But yeah it would be easier and faster if it just automatically did it like bigger companies

Do those family owned stores have scanner's for check out, or were they entering the dollar amount of the items into the register manually? Because that is the difference.
The amount of the sale should automatically come up on the card reader i do not understand the need for the screen to the right.

The screen on the right is the display monitor for items scanned, and yes the transaction total should automatically come up on the card reader.

After playing the demo I was glad to hear that card transactions would be in the main game because it would make for a faster checkout by not always having to fiddle around with counting back change, but instead you have to stand there and click in the totals which defeats the purpose of having an automated checkout in the first place.
I don’t know why number pad on my keyboard won’t work in game on cash register, number pad on my keyboard only works for price tag in game it works before but it not working for cash register in game
