Inventory Management
Any decent POS (Point of Sale) system will have inventory management built in. This means that we should be able to see on the computer, what has gone through the scanners at the checkouts and calculate what should be left in our purchased inventory. It may not be on the shelf, but sitting in the storage/warehouse, but it should be telling us what sold, for how much and what our remaining inventory is. It would give us some insight for when a customer complains about not finding a product. Adding this along with a stock-person should keep the store running smooth if you manage it properly.

This game is GREAT for an early release, by the way -- a BIG KUDOS to the solo-developer!

Yeah honestly i might quit this for a while. By level 21 this just becomes a constant restocking simulator while you try to guess what you have and what you need later on

I was also hoping for some type of graph that would be bale to tell me the most sought after item so that I could stock more of that and less of the items that don't sell as much. As someone who used to run a Pizza Hut, keeping a "back stock" of items is not hard but the hard part is having enough room for all of the items. If we knew what sold the most and what sold the least we could better optimize our storage space.

I also agree that a purchasable upgrade for the ordering system such as an inventory management system would be a great option so that you could set the amount of product you want to keep on hand each day and it would be auto ordered for you would be a great idea.

Yes, as we get further in the game, I am having to spend a majority of my play time looking around (multiple times) and ordering, clicking 2 at a time so not to have to click a third time if i plan to order 4 of everything since we can only order 10 at a time as well and then after all that is done, you must retrieve close to 100 boxes , back and forth stock them individually and (we could get a and trolley, dolly, stack truck, trundler, box cart) to carry up to a certain height of boxes, appr 5. A dolly, maybe a popup note pad for marking needed products using a short key like "p" or something. Automatic daily orders and the ability to order all if necessary.
To add on to this I wish I could set a shelf for a certain product so that even if it runs out the tag is still there and I know what I need to order. For the most part I'm ok at remembering but as the store is growing its getting harder to remember. A system like that would also help a theoretical NPC stocker as the shelf would already be set and it would know where to stock

some thing the might help you with this (until NPC stockers are implemented) would be to set an entire section of shelves as one product (i.e. having four shelves of one type of bread on top of each other). But I agree about being able to assign specific shelves to specific product. This would not only help with the NPC stokers but also with inventory tracking.

I think many players were hoping for some kind of management system in the first update, but I guess the dev had other plans. I sure hope something will be in the next update, whenever that will be.

One thing that ought to be quite easy to implement would be to make the shelf labels semi permanent. Once you stock a shelf make the label stay even when the stock sells through. Only change the label if the player puts something else on a shelf.
