Clicked new game instead of continue..
I've lost all my progress :( My supermarket was so good and I spent all afternoon re-arranging it! Is there any way to get it back? The save file is now my "new game" instead of the one I had.

In the tutorial, I have all my products unlocked like I was still lvl 30 but I'm lvl 1. I'm so confused.

I think it overwrites your save so you're probably going to have to start over. You could use this guide to edit your save to at least get back money, unlocks, etc but you'll have to redo your layout.

Thank you so much for this! I'll edit my save and start over.

ouch! That would be a deal breaker for me for at least 4-6 months before i came back. I get that there are grindy games, but i put this one in the category of ultra grindy. I've nearly done the same as you on several occasions. Luckily, i caught myself before i did.

That is why we have a thing called "BACKUP". One thing I learnt in the IT industry always have a backup of a back up of a backup never know when you going to need it.

Ohhhh, I was wondering what happened if I clicked that. I'm always worried that I'm going to accidentally click it instead of Continue. I figured there'd be a confirmation dialog to confirm it, though. Sounds like there isn't. One click and it's all gone?

Those instructions for editing the save are not quite 100% correct anymore. There is no file called SaveFile.es3 anymore. Now there are 6 .es3 files (in my directory), and they have a date on them. It looks like it is keeping the last 5 saves every time you save a new game. So you might be able to get your old game back by deleting (or renaming to a different extension) new .es3 files and keep the ones that are older than the date you clicked that wrong button.

This is the first thing the devs must fix. Being just one click away from disaster gives a passionated supermarket owner nightmares at daytime.
