It took a Month and 3 Days
It took 33 day to get this game running correctly for the most part. I really miss games that were playable and streamable when they came out.. For my Origin Vive using a wireless adapter it took steamVR team and the game developers all this time to make it streamable where every game that I have does not have his issue what so ever. This gives me ptsd to the point where I do not want to purchase any games that has recently come out or will come out in the near future. Vertigo games is a seasoned VR developer and if they cannot get it right like it should be at launch I hate to see what less seasoned game developers will come out with.. I feel this was rushed and Vertigo Games die not learn there lessons from Arizona Sunshine...
Do not get me wrong I am very happy(now) it is working seeing I love the Metro series but the game could have been delayed into Dec and been a much better experience instead of having there customers be their testers.. Just bad business practice.

It's kind a standard these days that game is released, wait one year for patches. After that you buy and play it.

This is an unfortunate reality. I wish we could go back to CDs where they were forced to make sure stuff would work.. I really miss those days..

Just thought I'd mention that the game has worked perfectly for me since release day streaming via the HTC Wireless Adaptor, full 90fps and no stutter/jitter. What broke it for me was the SteamVR update 2.8.6 not anything the game devs did, soon as I went back to the previous driver no issues at all.

True, but I alway keep in mind that on PC there is so many different headsets that it is hard to pin point issues on every one of them, especially where people use different OS and PC specs, so they have to relay on most popular and community feedback if something goes wrong. Console and mobile does not have that issue since their architecture is fixed.

Thanks for the input. The kicker here is while streaming, if not streaming it was good like your experience. Granted they did say to disable any overlays, so they knew about the issue and did not fix it before release. It just felt like a rushed release and over the last 40+yrs of gaming and a lot of the time this happens and it is in concert with a rush to the deadline..

So how is anyone able to promote there product? You would think that would be some what of a priority. Granted the game was able to be played and streamed, but the jittering was so awful after 3 streams, a crash and a lot of patience, I was not able to deal with it anymore. I would think you would want to stay away from that kind of publicity, it is just bad news..

Thanks for the feed back, I have been playing with computer for over 40yrs and gaming on them as well, so I do understand your statement completely and keep it in mind when writing a post like this. The fact of the matter is that they did know about the overlay issue and others and did nothing about it, until recently the 10th. It was like they were relying on the Metro fandom carry there promotion of the game. Bad strategy if you ask me, look at all the post with problems, not good... Also look at timing of the fixes particularly the Performance hotfix it was same day if the the day after release.

Ah ok, thanks for the clarification, I thought you were referring to the wireless streaming to the headset. Seemingly a fix for this was not a priority they considered prior to release, as you point out.
