Imagine playing all the previous Metro games and DLC and being a fan but refusing to play the new Metro game because you don't want to buy a 299 dollar headset that comes with a free AAA Batman game and vastly improves the game visuals lol.

There is a new standard Metro game in development by 4A Games so I guess you'll just have to wait for that. You can always play this at some point in the future though, if you decide to invest in VR.

Well you can buy a secondhanded quest 2 for like a 100 or watch a youtube playthrough of this.

They are smart into doing this, there are alot of vr users and most of them have played half life alyx and want something on that level, releasing on VR bringing new users to the metro world, ok at the cost of some dissatisfaction of those that don't got a VR, but that is why they also announced that they are working on a new metro game.

I'm super sad that the vast majority of games made today are still not VR compatible, let alone specifically made to take full advantage of VR, and the VR player base is virtually ignored by most of the AAA game companies.

I literally bought the Index and new PC components for VR. Literally one of my best investments I made. Just wish there's like a submarine style game like Full Fathom in VR.
