NO !! Never not. It could be without that terrible handtracking and maybe without losing my weapons so often. And chapter 6 makes the game frustrating.

Actually on Games Awards I would vote for Metro but on Steam I think I would go for Blade & Sorcery with its full release in 2024, one of the best games on VR ever and benchmark how combat, interaction and movement should be made in this medium. 2025 it will be choice between Arken Age (my favorite in terms of VR combat and movement freedom similar to B&S) or Alien Rougue Incursion/Behemoth (if at least one of them will deliver promises), I am also counting for some surprises like Gunman Contracts.

I too am really looking forward to the release in January of Arken Age, full physics combat is where it is at in my book. Their last game's game mechanics were so stable and solid I just know they are going to deliver something special this time.

For this year I was happy to vote for Metro Awakening in the Steam Awards as it's been the standout VR experience for me of the year being my kind of game.

I'm also really hesitating between Metro and Blade&Sorcery. B&S isn't as big a production as Metro, but its gameplay is so good and its campaign so addictive that I can play it for hours. Once again, it's a small studio that's setting VR standards.

PS: For those who haven't tried it yet, Subside is also an excellent game, taking full advantage of VR. It's the best free diving experience to date... apart from the real thing. It's gorgeous, very realistic, with a gameplay made for VR. Another success from a small studio, its only flaw is that it's too short!

Thanks for the heads up on this, it may be short but looks to have a lot of detail and realism which is always great in VR.

Maybe phoneVR game of the year - unless Batman disagrees and both aren't squashed by a behemoth... But at least aliens won't interfere... ;-)

Behemoth will be for 2025, like games from late 2023 are for 2024 awards but judging from Skydance decision to delay Steam release it might not be in good shape.
