How long is the campaign?

12 chapters iirc. Depends highly how quick you play and if you do any exploring for ammo etc. I'm sure one could rush through on easy difficulty in like 10 hours. But with normal difficulty so far I played 1 hour per chapter so far. 3 hours in and i'm at the third chapter. Some may be longer, maybe i'll lose a couple fights and have to redo them...

Did you die a lot? Cause the first big firefight I had 2 bullets and missed both shots :D
Had to redo that one time and make sure i tapfired and only did headshots. I'm still on the AK and pistol setup. Nothing else yet. I do carry two pistols most of the time tho.

Sounds like a decent amount of time honestly. Around 4 euro's per hour of playtime... Can't find a VR cafe to play at that price anywhere else so I'm happy.

yea, its not quality like HL alyx but the gameplay is pretty good. everyone is review bombing it for not being the next HL alyx even though it wasnt supposed to be lol

I personally didn't enjoy HLA. I can agree it is a great game tho. But it's not the game i was looking for. People claiming it is the best VR game ever can voice their opinion. That's fine. But HLA and Metro are not the same.
I have more hours in a sandbox shooter like blood trail than i could ever have in HLA. It's too slow, too puzzly, etc. Not my thing. I love HL games. Enjoyed my time with them, even HL2VR mod was amazing. But HLA doesnt feel like those old school HL games to me. It is what it is.

I too felt HLAs gameplay was too slow. It went to much in the horror direction and as someone who doesn't get effected by horror games, flat or vr. I got boring like most shooters it was best when you were fighting humans. And it was too little of that.
I'm glad Metro let's you blast dozens upon dozens of slavers.
But i just replayed the HLA campaign for the first time since it was released and objectively it's still the best VR game made. Graphically nothing comes close. The over all quality, the lack of vr jank, the interactivity. Best vr game made. Not my personal favourite. But in over all quality. It's the best vr has to offer.
Such a shame the engine hasn't been used by other VR games. It runs better than even ugly vr unity asset flips that looks like PS2 games. Yet looks fantastic.

yeah the game told me my time was 10:57 hours, the game on average is 11 hours basically haha
