PCVR or PSVR2 on PRO?
If anyone has definitive information about which may be the 'best' place to buy/play, please share! I have a 3080 on PC and just got the PS5 PRO yesterday. Just trying to figure out where I'm going to buy the game. I also might get a PC VR adapter for the PSVR2 if going that route may be best. TIA.

PSVR2 on the PC is absolutely awesome. The difference in 60fps reprojected compared to being able to set games to 90 or 120 makes it much better. Getting the adapter will also allow you to play Half Life Alyx which is one of the best games ever made.

Hell yeah bro. Alyx was so good. I played that game day 1 (got a hotel room and flupped all of the furniture and bed up against the walls. Lol) with 1 to 1 movement throughout the whole thing with a giant space and snap turning to reorient my space/direction (walking from corner to corner). With that being said, that's another consideration, so I'll probably go with PC with a PSVR2 adapter...I don't really like the PlayStation guardian system. Can you play Metro in true room scale? I want to be able to physically walk, explore, dodge, and duck in true 1 to 1 movements.

Some VR games are better with smooth locomotion, but I prefer room scale if the game is designed around it.

***obviously I can't walk downs stairs, so I would teleport, but I walked/ran/ducked/dodged/creeped through the whole game. It was truly a magical experience to live in that world. It took me like 15 hours playing like that.

Also, did you run into any issues when trying to get the sense controllers connected through Bluetooth on PC? I'm reading that people had some tracking issues and that an additional Bluetooth dongle might be a good idea?

PS VR 2 is not a supported headset on the PC version according to the Steam store page, so if you have the PS VR 2 you should probably play Metro Awakening on your PS5.

There are probably a lot of other games you could play with the PS VR 2 on Steam though, so getting the PC VR adapter is probably a good thing if you already have a PS VR 2 and a PC.

Damn. Well I have the index but was hoping for that OLEDDD. I'm looking for confirmation about what you're saying about incompatibility.

I did just order the adapter though so I guess I'll find out either way!

Are there any games that show a Sony PSVR2 specific compatibility icon?

The game plays fine on pc using the psvr2. Just keep in mind if you buy it on playstation store, its locked to the console, and you can't play it on any other headset. If you buy it on steam, you can play it on (almost) any headset you want. Who knows, you may buy another headset in the future.

The game plays great with a psvr2 connected to a pc... This game needs the oled blacks and colors and high brightness... its a blast. i also tried it on the quest 3 connected to my pc.. but the image is very dull and lifeless... the psvr2 gives you better 3d etc

Yeah, I mean the PSVR 2 won't have some very specific Playstation specific functions like the rendering based on eye focus, but it will 100% work with a PC Adapter
